[OOC]Chapter 1 - New York, January 1925

Using the 2018 remastered edition of Masks.

March 1921, Lima, Peru: A disparate group of academics and adventurers gather to assist Augustus Larkin's expedition to locate a pyramid long forgotten by history.

That's alright. I'm still somewhat busy, at least until this weekend. Then I should have some free time.

Hi everyone, most of my busy IRL things are sorted now. Thanks for your patience. :)

I'll be repossessing my laptop from my little boy later and starting a couple of new threads, one for each group.

Feel free to read along both threads, I'm only splitting it up to help with readability.

Writing this now to give you plenty of notice, but I'll be on holiday from 24th May to 1st June with little or no internet access.
Feel free to NPC my character while I'm away.

I'll get cracking on with the prison interview then. :)

I've not gotten around to it yet, but I'll post in the recruitment forum as soon as I'm happy I'm back at full speed.
Does anyone have an idea of a particular type of investigator that you'd like the new player to run in order to round out the team?

A cop might be useful. I think we have enough researchers and archaeologists.

I'll be able to post again in both threads later today as each group reaches their destination.

A cop in New York is fine I think. This can either be Marcus' contact, or preferably I think, one of the npc cops destined to appear later in the chapter.

If you're happy to continue with a group of six for now, I'll wait until later in the chapter to add a new player.

I don't think we should risk it. We're not in any rush, and we don't want burn our bridges. My skill was nearly that high, and I failed twice. I could spend 11 Luck to make it succeed, but I don't think it's worth it.

I'd say go for it, just because the odds are in your favor and even if you fail chances are you'll have to spend less luck to succeed. Then again, I have a bit of a gambler's streak. And it's not my luck. ;)

Can you spend luck on a pushed roll? I seem to remember that you can't.
