Caelia Alba's house- Rome, Italia
Early Morning- March 15, 44 BC

Caelia Alba awakened in her own bed, reassured to see sunlight. Had it all been a dream? There was a light knocking sound at her door, the sound that had awakened her. "Domina," came the voice of one of the female servants, "I am sorry to awaken you, but there is an Egyptian messenger here to see you. He says it is most urgent."

Caelia blinks at the sunshine streaming through the shutters and then sees the yellow robes hanging ready for wearing; there is no blood. "Was it really just a dream? But it was all so real! Then that means Caesar is likely to be still alive!" She leaps out of bed, "Aurelia, attend me and send for the messenger immediately!" With the help of the servant she dresses quickly and waits for the messenger.

Aurelia helped Caelia get dressed and then fetched the messenger, an Egyptian man dressed in palace livery. "Caelia Alba," he said, bowing. "Nefertiri, the servant of Queen Cleopatra, requires your presence in the palace at once. There have been new developments."

Caelia bows her head, "Of course. Wait in the atrium, I will return with you in a moment." Then she turns to the servant, "Aurelia, quickly do my hair. I will be away all day and maybe the night too. Please send my apologies to my father and my patients; at least there is no one serious at the moment. If you need to contact me, send a message via Senator Germanicus."

The instant she is ready, Caelia sweeps out of the room, nods to the Egyptian messenger and heads out towards the palace.

The messenger escorted Caelia back to the palace, and they entered the antechamber.
