I'm not racing anywhere if I'm not riding a horse.
Lupus shrugged and started toward the Theatre of Pompeii instead, munching on olives. He planned to enjoy the play, admire beautiful audience members, and keep an eye out for more famous people.
"He moves with serpent swiftness," thinks Aricus as Alephus recedes beyond sight. "Such speed more proof of deception."
Aricus catches his breath and heads back to the forum.

Aricus pulled a muscle when he tried to chase after Adelphus, slowing him to a hobble. While he was confident that there was no lasting damage and that he'd be able to fight on the morrow, it certainly hampered his attempt to run now.
