A decade ago, a band of occult investigators battled against the summoning of an ancient and monstrous evil. They failed. Now you must piece together the puzzle and finish what they could not. The stakes are high, and so is the price to pay. Can you do it?
Thinking tactically at the moment - a violent approach (which never works well in this kind of game) puts us in probably a worse situation than when we put down our weapons in the first place. But unless we think Christopher will be back soon with the cavalry and it is worth stalling for time then we're going to have to face some nasty nectar and music and I don't know what the consequences of that will be for our longer term sanity. Any views on the direction of travel?
I don't think fighting will work here. They have weapons and we don't. Our best bet probably is to stall for time and hope Christopher can come to the rescue. Unfortunately, I can't make a Bargain spend, as I'm at 0 Stability.
A shooting right now will be very bad for us. Also, have another Nectar addict in the group won't do us any good. In the other hand, I'm pretty low in Stability already (-3), so... not sure what to do. For now, probably take the sweet sweet Nectar. With Leticia's singing, I'm pretty sure I'm in for a treat. Christopher may appear with help if we stall for a little while. Also, Konovalov doesn't seems too loyal (I may be wrong), but I don't know if we would be able to convince him right now.
I think I'll change Cam's drive to Duty, makes more sense.
The only violent approach that is going to stand any chance of success is going to be taking Brooks hostage I think.
I can't take the nectar as I don't have Bargain.
I guess a nice Nectar party will stall for some time. What's likely to happen to Ian when he gets it? I thought there was a hint from Brooks his stuff might be more potent.
Merry Christmas everybody. Tomorrow I'll travel to Vietnam and be there until the 7th of January. I won't be posting until then. In the meantime, feel free to discuss how to deal with the large mouth - if at all.
Hi everybody, it's been a troubling couple of weeks here in Italy, and I haven't felt like posting anything. I'm taking a break from this play by forum, but I'd prefer to keep this section active in case I want to come back later on. Hopefully I'll be back in a few weeks. Anyway, stay safe everybody.
Thanks, you too. Take all the time you need. I'm self-quarantined right now, as I have symptoms, but if I have it it's a mild strain. This morning was the worst, but I think I've turned the corner.
Stay safe everyone.
The Professor has been badly shaken by his ordeal with the giant tentacled mouth and he his looking forward to getting back to London to spend time with his family.
Take care.
