Tobias was easily able to unlock and open the window a crack yet leave it seemingly shut. He saw that the filing cabinet had three drawers. The top drawer was labeled "A-H," the middle drawer "I-Q", and the bottom drawer "R-Z." None of them were locked.

Tobias checks that the door is still open so he can hear anyone coming and then he opens the first 'A-H' drawer. He is specifically looking for anything to do with family histories and diseases.

Tobias started flipping through the manila folders in the top drawer. He found a folder about the Barne family history, which dated back to at least the 16th century. Sir George Barne had been a wealthy merchant who had been Lord Mayor of London and was one of the first to trade with Russia as part of the Muscovy Company. His son, also named Sir George Barne, had been Lord Mayor of London as well. His ship, the Hercules, had helped defeat the Spanish Armada and had been the largest in Sir Frencis Drake's fleet. He also found a folder on the Black Death, which had struck Dunwich as it had other cities in England when it rampaged in the late 1340s. Though Dunwich no longer had a harbor at that point, there had apparently still been enough commerce that the plague had spread here. At first glance, it appeared that the file cabinet stored mainly historical data, with nothing touching on recent times.

"Hmm, I wonder if any of the Barne family live here still. They've a damn influential history. The Black Death was bad but hasn't anything to do with a possible hereditary disease, at least I don't think so. I wonder if the Hercules came back with much treasure, and what happened to her; it's a vague possibility Dr. Kirkby was searching for her at sea." Tobias has a look for anything else in the drawer but doesn't find much.

"Okay, bottom drawer, lets see what you've got." He looks through the files 'R-Z', also looking for anything to do with underwater/sunken articles.

It will take some time to search through the cabinet in detail. I'll need to wait a little while to see what happens in the other museum thread before I let you know what you find.

Tobias looked through the drawer's files. He found several references to sunken churches, most of which were named after saints and thus filed under S. Nothing about any of them leaped out at him, though.

After a quick look under the files to see if anything was hidden there, Tobias carefully closes the drawer. He is just about to open the third drawer when he thinks he hears a noise.

Why is it, whenever I roll for Tobias, my heart's in my mouth? Maybe he hasn't got over his early '100' rolls yet.

Tobias could hear footsteps approaching in the hall outside the office.

He considers hiding but deems it too risky. Quickly, he falls back on his proposed plan; he groans and, with a hand held to his head, he steps towards the doorway. "Not this one then." he mutters.

[Mr. Handy]

Amelia pushed open the door from outside, a cross expression on her face. "You're not even supposed to be back here," she said, frowning. "There's a sign on the door for a reason, you know."

Tobias smiles weakly. "You're right, I'm sorry. I felt real dizzy, thought I was going to ---. So I came looking for a washroom. I didn't want to interrupt you." He closes his eyes, he doesn't have to act much as he is still feeling rotten from this morning. "Maybe a sit down and some fresh air will do."

"There's plenty of fresh air outside," said Amelia. "I suggest you go get some there, and you're lucky I don't call the police."

"Thank you Maam. Err - which way is outside?" Tobias grins weakly.

[Mr. Handy]

"This way," said Amelia, escorting Tobias out. From the hall, she took him back through the door to the exhibit area and then watched to make sure he left. Once outside, he rejoined Chad, Raymond, Elliot, and Valerie. Raymond waved for him to join them as they walked towards the Ship Inn, while Story and his companions stood around outside the museum.
