Absence Announcements

Postby Mr. Handy » Sat May 25, 2013 7:28 pm

This board doesn't have a central place for Keepers and players to let others in their games know when they'll be away and unable to post, so I figured it needed one. I'm in a lot of games, and it's a lot easier to post here once than it is to post in each of them.

I'll be away from Saturday, June 22 (evening, EDT) through Saturday, June 29 and from Wednesday, July 3 (afternoon) through Sunday, July 7. I'll be off from work and should have more time to post between the two trips, but it'll take me some time to catch up on the week I'll miss when I'm away.

I'll be away at conventions October 31-November 3 and November 8-10, so I probably won't be able to post then. I'm not sure if I'll even be able to post between them, as I work during the week and will have little time to catch up, though I am off November 11.

I'm struggling with a relapse of chronic depression and as such haven't been very active recently. I'm still around, but keeping up is difficult for me.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
I'm a smooth criminal and a neurotic lawyer with a crush on a pretty-boy author, and I'm being controlled by my creepy older brother (twice!) while I worry about not having a can opener.

I'm put to shame in this regard. I'll be back over the weekend. Sorry for dropping off of the face of the unreal world.

FYI I shall be holidaying from the 16th July till 1st August and thoroughly looking forward to it, aching arms from vaccinations not withstanding.

Dear friends

My computer exploded and it doesn't look like I'll be replacing soon. I'll be campaigning in the Mediterranean this summer and won't be back till late August. It would be silly to invest in a new machine for those scant remaining weeks.

However, this means I'll be absent even longer. I do hope you'll all take care of my characters. Do feel free to NPC them.

Notwithstanding, I shall attempt to show my face around here as often as I can.

I'll be leaving for a convention on the afternoon of July 2 and returning the night of July 6. While I have a laptop and should have Internet access, I doubt I'll have time to post, much less keep up with reading. I may not have time to catch up when I return on the night of the 6th, so I might not be able to post again until the night of the 7th.

Ooh, what kind of convention?
Is it bad that I listen to this about ten times a day?

Oh, also, check out my new blog on roleplaying and running games: http://stwildonroleplaying.blogspot.com/

I am leaving tomorrow for summer camp with my scout troop tomorrow morning early. So I will be very limited internet connection and will not be able to post between now and next Saturday.

You guys have fun and I'll check back in then.

When I return I'll be kicking off a new and original Classic Era game entitled A Star on the Shore. It is a follow up to Rat's Haunting.

It was DEXCON, a gaming convention. I played a lot of Call of Cthulhu as well as other games. If there's interest, I can go into more detail when I have more time (probably not until this weekend).

Have a great trip and watch out for wasps, they're hungry now.
