Re: OOC: General Discussion.
Sorry to have gone AWOL, spent some time working in the UK which led to a nice piece of work that is keeping me very busy. When I'm not doing that I'm trying to keep mother nature at bay during springtime on the farm.
Re: OOC: General Discussion.
Wow, never seen so many failures on a spot hidden roll. Did anyone actually make a successful roll when searching? I feel like we are leaving something behind, but our characters are probably feeling like we have searched it top to bottom.

Re: OOC: General Discussion.
Surely that rather depends on what you were expecting to find and what you were looking for?
Re: OOC: General Discussion.
I succeeded searching both the lounge and the bedroom (got a 48 out of 61 both times), and someone succeeded when searching the kitchen, I think. But I did notice all those failures early on before I started searching.

Re: OOC: General Discussion.
This is one of those times where I really wish we were all playing around a table, so I thought I'd look over the last thread to see how it actually panned out. Here is as far as I can determine what happened. Some fails, but a lot of 'find nothings' from people were searching for specific items.
There were some spot hidden rolls you failed which you probably didn't want to make.
Andy searched the kitchen for anything interesting - Fail.
Clay enters looking for artefacts and anything which looks like the Ur language - he finds nothing.
Liz and Jacob systematically search the bedroom - find the camera and the 'holiday snaps'
Greg finds evidence Maria may have tried to kill herself in the bathroom.
Jacob - searches the bathroom - he finds nothing
Andy searches the kitchen for anything interesting - Failed
Clay searches for and finds the laptop after an age. - Fail (success was automatic, the roll simply determined how efficiently he searched for the laptop)
Clay and Liz find Photos under laptop.
Jacob is completely distracted by things and leaves to question neighbours. - Fumble.
Andy's attention is elsewhere and notices nothing. - Fail.
Clay's attention is elsewhere and notices nothing. - Fail.
Albert searches the kitchen and discovers the invoice.
Albert searches the bedroom and find nothing.
Albert searches the lounge and finds nothing
Liz searches the bedroom for the SD card and finds nothing
Liz Looks for details on the photos - identifies the details on the sign.

Re: OOC: General Discussion.
I'm going on holiday soon - I'll be out of touch for 2 weeks from 27th June (arriving back in the UK on 12th July).

Re: OOC: General Discussion.
I'm off for business and pleasure in Prague next week, post rate should be low.

OK guys I reckon well take a short break starting next week ending the the week after as Royya, Carnage_Lee, PappaG and BentheRat all away next week and Carnage_lee and PappaG limited or no availability the week after, I'm taking a two week hiatus from Monday 22nd.

Re: OOC: General Discussion.
Didn't even realise there was an absence thread. But that kinda clinches it.
FYI guys you are two thirds of the way through now with the finale in sight and if you are still confused as to what is going on and whose behind it then this also will be revealed.

Re: OOC: General Discussion.
+++ Dear friend computer, as per your instructions I reported to the closest Citizen Re-Education/Mortuary Services centre, Sector 7G - Level 5, only to find that access is restricted to security levels Orange and above. This must be due to local treasonous activity by the managers of Sector 7G, who have failed to classify the centre properly. Awaiting new instructions +++ghill wrote:Your lack of dedication to the game is duly noted.

Then please report to the nearest disintegration chamber friend citizen.
Love some Paranoia. I run a 1st edition game every year at a OSRPG Con.
I'm back whenever we get started again. And yea I'm one of those totally lost. But I'm intentionally not trying to put all the clues together to better play the character as a dumb brute. (yea I'm sticking with that)

Re: OOC: General Discussion.
Guys, I'm going to wait until Carnage_Lee gets back on Sunday (12th) before kicking off again. In the meantime some colour and a dice roll or two.

Re: OOC: General Discussion.
Stats are in the firearms thread.
Re: OOC: General Discussion.
So by saying small business like pistols you mean the Norico Type-59. OK, got it.
Thought it was something else.
