Elizabeth waits quietly in the room. Not for the first time, she is glad to have Johnny with her.

Sergeant Jones arrives back in the room, Barrington isn't with him.

It's about twenty five minutes since he left the room.

[Mr. Handy]

"Miss Downing," says Jones, bowing politely. "Mister Wong. I need you both to accompany me briefly to Scotland Yard, where I will drop off evidence for analysis and pick up a revolver so that I'm better able to protect you. From now on, neither of you leaves my sight. We shall be inseperable. We can finish the interview along the way there and back. The constables will look after your friends when they return to the hotel."

Johnny nods his head, "Thank you sergeant, we will help in any way that we can."

OOC,Johnny will quietly follow around Elizabeth & Jones until Grafster returns, unless he's directly addressed, or he senses that Elizabeth is in danger. If that happens I'll make sure that Grafster gets a heads up, and I'll do my best to npc him. Johnny is used to bring seen & not heard whilst chaperoning Elizabeth & Andrei.

"Thank you, Mr. Wong," says Jones. "I'll be less conspicuous protection than uniformed bobbies, and I can summon any who happen to be nearby with my whistle. I'll see about getting additional whistles for the pair of you when we're at the Yard, and we can take your fingerprints to eliminate them when examining the letter. I've come up with a way for us to get Mr. Gavigan's fingerprints without him noticing, so we'll be able to find out if it was he who delivered it. When you're both ready, we'll leave discreetly. If anyone involved is watching the hotel, it wouldn't do to alert them as to your movements or your close cooperation with us."

"Oh, sergeant, thank you. I feel much safer already. And I see absolutely no reason to stay here a moment longer, so we are ready to leave whenever you are"

[Mr. Handy]

"You're quite welcome, Miss Downing," says Jones. "I'm ready now." He leads the way out of the suite and downstairs to a rear or side exit, then makes his way around to the car, looking carefully for anyone who might be paying them or the hotel any undue attention.

Taking the side door to the car park avoids the journalists gathered around the front entrance of the hotel.

Barrington has left in a patrol car, leaving Sergeant Jones the use of the unmarked detectives car, a lucky thing given the state of the Ritz Rolls Royce that Elizabeth returned earlier.

Johnny follows quietly, pausing to light a cigarette as they exit the hotel as he surveys the surroundings looking for danger.

[Mr. Handy]

Jones looks around too, but he doesn't see anything out of the ordinary. "It's better that we take the unmarked car," he says quietly. "We'll draw less attention that way." He leads the way to the car and opens the back door for Elizabeth.

"Thank you, Sergeant," Elizabeth takes one nervous glance around and takes her seat in the car.
