Chit-Chat

Listen. Sometimes it hurts to let it all slip away. Sometimes it's easier just to die. But how can we do that when we know that she's out there? Waiting for me. Waiting for all of us. If you would only find her, maybe we could finally rest.

No, no, it's only Trixie and DSIGFUSS who could theoretically read both. The rest of you wouldn't understand them just yet. Don't worry, it's coming, the Chapter change-over is coming...

I can read both threads too, as I have a character in both of them - the same one, even!

And Handy.... what do you mean Ronald can hear both sides. Is there a thread I should be looking in?

It's possible that Ronald could start peering through the two spaces much like Brianna and Dahlia can, thus you could read Chapter 3 as your PC starts to understand things better...

I feel left out, seems I'm the only one that's stuck in Chapter 2. I see how it is. :P

You're not alone. Sarah's still in Chapter 2 too, and Lionel is halfway in and halfway out.

Things are certainly making more sense now...

:Insert Liar Smiley here:

I think you guys have accidentally missed a lot of the clues that were in many of the other places. Problem with survival horrors ... you spend too long running to pick stuff up.

But that's okay... Cael fetched some of it and I'm sure you'll return to a few locations anyway...

That's been a problem with Zombie Apocalypse too. Most of the time you're much too busy staying alive to go around finding clues and solving mysteries. The characters in Under in Chapter 3 found some of the best clues, but they were so intent on studying them that they forgot to have someone stand watch and got slaughtered. Only Sally survived, and she's learned a lot, but she never heard what was on that tape or read the journal.

So what do we get again when we pass a level?

Oh and Ronald rolls an 18 for initiative.

Our reward is that we get to pick three skills we've used (whether or not we rolled against them or succeded at those rolls, if any) and roll increases for them for each of our characters. If the current level in that skill is 40 or below, you gain 1d10. If it's 41-70, you gain 1d6. If it's 71 or more, you gain 1d4. I'm not sure if we get anything else on top of that.

Sarah increases Psychoanalysis from 36 to 42.
Sarah increases Throw from 25 to 30.
Sarah increases First Aid from 81 to 82.

Lionel increases Dodge from 18 to 21.
Lionel increases Throw from 25 to 28.
Lionel increases Psychoanalysis from 30 to 34.

Meh. :|

I do remember one other "reward." Roll against POW x 1 on 1d100 for each of your characters to see if you develop a horrible psychic ability.

Sarah doesn't.
Lionel doesn't.

You also got a +1 attribute point, I do believe...

I'll also be giving 40 skill points to ALL characters REGARDLESS of Chapter. Place where you like in what proportions you like on any skills you have used - not necessarily rolled for, but used (I never bothered to tick what skills were used, after all).

Really? I thought the +1 to an attribute was for surviving for 24 hours. Lionel, Brianna, Ronald, and Agnes already received it, but they're the only ones so far.

I'll distribute my 40 skill points for each of my characters after I find out whether Sarah gets the +1 to an attribute or not.

Hmm, well, that's right ... we'll wait on the +1 then. Your characters are all tired, too, by the way, and will need to sleep soon.
