Lara exhales to minimize her rib cage, hoping that will allow her to get through the vent. "Common sestra. Pull through!!" , she says yo herself. It sounds rather louder than she expected.

Try as she might, Lara couldn't quite fit into the vent. Mei Ling struggled to get out of her handcuffs, but it seemed hopeless.
There was a distant woman's scream. It sounded like Alicia.
I can't see the roll made for Lara any more, as it was made under the old dice roller. I think it succeeded (when you want it to fail), but I can't remember, so I rolled again.
Lara's SIZ x 5 roll (55% stat; failure is good) to squeeze into the vent shaft: d% Mei Ling's DEX x 1 roll (16% stat) to get out of her handcuffs: d% Lara and Mei Ling, you may try again.

Mei Ling once more struggled to free herself of her handcuffs. She remembered that people could remove their handcuffs by dislocating their thumbs but was unsure if she should do so.

You should roll 1D100 against your DEX x 1, which is 16, so you need to get a 16 or less to succeed this time. You can find instructions for the dice roller here. If you haven't rolled yet by the time I update, I can roll for you.

Lara is starting to get anxious that she might be really stuck now. She relaxes her muscles and tries to get as tiny as possible to be able to get out of her stuck position.
