Appearance & Personality: Kathryn Adams stands just over five feet tall and weighs around 100 pounds, with blonde hair and striking green eyes. Kathryn is pretty, charming, and bubbly, and many people underestimate her, but behind this superficial facade lurks a keen, perceptive mind. Little escapes her notice, which serves her well in her chosen profession. There are few female private investigators, and she has to work twice as hard to prove herself, though she does have the advantage that few who don't know her would suspect what she is. Her specialty is locating missing children, most of whom have simply run away, but sometimes there is something more sinister behind it. She is good with children, being the eldest of seven in her family, and she has played a large part in raising her younger brothers and sisters, especially when her father was off fighting in the Great War. Kathryn enjoys going to the movies, and she particularly likes the new talkies. Her favorite movie is The General, starring Buster Keaton. She is also an avid reader.
Background: After Kathryn graduated from high school in 1921, she got a job working for local private investigator Brian McCabe. Ostensibly his secretary, she went above and beyond in her job, doing research, interviewing clients, and generally assisting in his investigations. After a few years, McCabe, who would frequently say he was getting too old for this kind of work, finally decided to retire and told her that she was good enough to become a private investigator in her own right. So she did.
