Also it's 6pm at the moment, so 30 minutes after you left the police station, and you're inside. That's fine, but could someone decide where you went to?

They've basically got that section of the museum as a private area after-hours, and Dr. Sánchez also has his own office, which is where I'd assume Boyd was loading his gun. :)
