I have attempted to put together a character, using the rules as I understand them. I decided to randomly choose one of the 3 sets of statistics (I got the one with 17, 14, 13, 10, 10, 8) and to shuffle them at random among the attributes. (This made for an interesting character, I think, more so than if I had chosen them myself.) I chose "Hard Experience" as the character's background with the derived changes (one less bond, lower sanity, etc.) I selected Physician as the professional and Athlete as the background, with the resulting changes in skills. I hope I did this all correctly.

The same thing might work for the Leagues of Adventure stuff. Then you could play in The Dreaming Spires. It might be a good idea to ask Priest.

The only thing I would say is too go ahead and round up your hit points from 10.5 to 11 just for simplicity's sake.

I'm sorry for the delay in creating my character and getting started. I've been away on vacation and then busy catching up after getting back. I have little free time during the week, but I expect to be able to get started this weekend.

I still need some more time before I can post my character, but I'm almost caught up now. I already know I won't have time tomorrow night, but I'm hopeful about the 9th and almost certain I'll be able to on the 10th.

I've been planning to play a translator, but the number of Bonds is only listed for the core professions. It seems the most similar to Anthropologist/Historian, which has 4 Bonds. Should I just go with that?

I think that 4 bonds will work just fine. No worries about the timing we're still just getting started.

I've finally finished my character sheet, editing the one I already posted. Anthropologist/Historian had two languages at 50 and 30, but Translator gets three. I put the third one at 40, halfway between them. I hope that's okay.
