Re: OOC Discussion
Merry Christmas and apologies for being gone so long. My niece caught RSV and Covid as well as getting scarletina, so I have been helping my brother take care of her. She's about a year and a half, but in spite of the cough and lack of appetite she's as energetic as always so that is good.

Re: OOC Discussion
It’s never good when young kids are ill but hopefully she’ll be well again soon.
Re: OOC Discussion
Wow, that's really bad luck, hope she's better soon. Take your time!

Happy New Year to all. Hope we're enjoying our visit to Funland. Let me know any issues/things that could be improved with the game.

Re: OOC Discussion
Awesome!
I learnt some years ago in Japan as a then young(ish) adult. My home state in Australia doesn't get snow so had never even seen it before. And most Japanese people are proficient skiers by age 10! So I was falling a lot and surrounded by polite 7 year old experts, themselves on snow boards.
It's good fun once realise falling generally doesn't hurt and my latent acrophobia kind of kicked in when skiing down a slope feels a bit like falling down a slippery cliff...
My good fortune was my then boss in Japan had come with and was from the US State of Minnesota. Apparently, all Minnesotans are born with instructor grade skiing skills...

Re: OOC Discussion
Heights are not my thing. I'd skied nearly 20yrs ago for a few days and it was okay but I didn't like the narrow runs. Now I'm feeling my age, don't mind a blue slope if it's wide but the narrow ones I feel out of control if I can't slow down! That it's all ice rather than powder doesn't help. Ah well, progressing slowly but getting a bit better.
