The Horror of the Glen (for new investigators)
We’ve had an influx of new members over at the play@YSDC Discord group and I’ve offered to run an investigation to get our new recruits up and running with play by post/Call of Cthulhu.
The Horror of the Glen is set in 1930s rural Scotland and the investigators will be looking into the murder of a local man. Someone has been arrested, but there is more to it than first appears. Investigation will be required, but there may be some action as well. We’ll use 7th Edition rules.
I’ll be giving preference to our new members (reserving slots for Pixie and Clanger78 from the Discord group). If you’re interested, please post below.
If you’re new to Call of Cthulhu: As noted above, Call of Cthulhu is an investigative game. You may need to fight sometimes, but the majority of the time, fighting will only get you in trouble with the law, and with powers beyond mortal comprehension…
If you’re new to play by post: PBP games are slower paced than playing face to face but that gives you more time to think about what your investigator will do. It’s also easier than trying to get everyone around the table/screen at the same time.
If you have any questions, please ask!

I can set up the forum for you when you're ready. While I would like to play too, I know that this is for the new players, so it would only be if there's room left after you've finished recruiting them.

Hey, I'm also interested! I'm dany#5664 on Discord (also just joined the server). I've roleplayed/done text TTRPGs for quite a long time and started playing CoC with my friend in about February but I have yet to play with strangers so
Re: The Horror of the Glen (for new investigators)
Sure. I just need a short text blurb to be displayed for the game on the home page first.

Dany - welcome
To paraphrase the saying, we’re not strangers, we’re just people with whom you will go mad but have yet to meet!
