Jan looks at Alex. And then nods.

It is already getting late, so you all mount a camp (at safe distance from the shrine). Another nigth with the mosquitoes, and noise of the jungle.
You all awake in the next day, ready to resume the trip.

"Let's head for the last one," says Harry.

As he sits, puffing on his pipe the next morning, Crowley's colour is starting to improve. Or else suntan is hiding the pallor from blood loss. Either way, he is in happier humour.

Jan climbs out of her hammock and stretches. She saunters over.
“You’re looking better today, Crowley. Ready for anything?”

Crowley:

"Do you mean like failing to defuse a bomb while a mammoth-sized caterpillar tries to break out of its ice prison and Nazi zombies attempt to make human sacrifices?"

"Yes, absolutely. My experience has been the healthier I am, the more it goes wrong. Hopefully, being badly injured will work in my favour."

"It's good to get going early so we don't have to deal with the black oozes." Butch says. "Although I don't see how there will be any ice prisons here."

Drawing on a cigarillo and sipping his coffee, Alex says, 'I wasn't anticipating lizardmen or malicious shadows either, so who knows what we might face.'
