'Exactly, a "flamethrower", a thrower of flame. If such a thing exists we should build one,' says Alex, excitedly. He doesn't know much about warfare but this sounds like just the job.

[Snapper]

Crowley:

"Well, speaking as one of the walking wounded, I have two thoughts regarding our need to take risks here."

"Firstly, as I mentioned earlier, if we can locate a second shrine, we can locate the middle. Maybe we should try to do that first? Otherwise, we're assuming the village elder was correctly informed and telling us the absolute truth."

"Secondly, if we decide we must destroy these shrines, who says we have to go down them? Can't we just blow them up?"

[Mr. Handy]

"Good point," says Harry, "though flamethrowers wouldn't go amiss either way. Did we find any on the Germans? If not, we could radio Caduceus to send us some, or maybe Butch can build them."

Jan looks around the cave.
“What counts as ‘destroyed’ do you think; just killing the guardian or blowing this cave sky high?”

There’s no exits from the bottom of the stairs except the stairs themselves?

[Mr. Handy]

"I'm not sure," says Harry, "but I think this one is already considered destroyed."

[kabukiman]

Jan looks around the cave.
“What counts as ‘destroyed’ do you think; just killing the guardian or blowing this cave sky high?”

There’s no exits from the bottom of the stairs except the stairs themselves?

OOC: No, there isn't.

[Snapper]

Crowley:

"Let's start climbing, ladies and gentlemen," Crowley says, starting to do just that. "Being deep in a hole makes me nervous. We can climb and talk at the same time."

[Mr. Handy]

"Yeah, let's get out of here," says Harry. "I don't think there's anything else for us here."

"I don't know how much talking we can do walking up the stairs." Butch grumbles as he starts the long climb up. "But I have a couple ideas."

Can I fashion a flame thrower with parts that we have or can get? I have the Handy pulp talent and I already have a gasoline blowtorch so if I can find a bug sprayer or something like that to mist the gas and cobble it to my blowtorch, maybe that will work?

You go up the stairs; the sun is only a dim ligth that is increasing as you go up. Finally you feel again the smells of the trees and the heat that makes you sweat. But the it's almost noon; you don't have more than 30 minutes of sun.

OOC: Butch, yes you can.

[Mr. Handy]

"Should we head back to camp?" asks Harry. "Or can we do what we need to do to prepare without going back there?"

[Snapper]

Crowley:

Crowley looks at the sun and the shadows it casts. "What do you think happens in the afternoon? It must get darker and darker down there."

Jan gets to the top and stands next to Crowley, squinting at the sun.
“All these tall trees; there’s only a small window when the sun is directly above and shining into the holes.
“Maybe it would be prudent to only tackle the shrines at midday.
“But that would mean just one shrine a day and who knows how soon the Nazis will arrive.”

"It would be easier to work in camp." Butch replies. "Maybe we just explore and locate all the shrines and then deal with them only during midday. If they aren't too far apart, we may be able to do more than one a day if we have already got them mapped out."

OOC: So, to speed this:
Option 1 return to camp.
Option 2 Go to the central pyramid (at least where you think it is)
Option 3 stay here
Option 4 go to the nearest shrine.
The one with more votes win.

I think we should return to camp first. We need that flamethrower before we can proceed to the other shrines, and that's the best place for Butch to make one.

[Snapper]

“Let’s go back to camp and drop the grease monkeys off to do their thing.” Agrees Jan.
“The rest of us could do an aerial recce of the other shrines; check where they are, landing options and enemy movements and such.
“I’m no soldier though so I’m only guessing what to do.”

'I don't suppose there's any value to at least checking out the location of the temple?' asks Alex. He's curious to see whether it is really hidden like the chief said.
