Cozy chat

Re: Cozy chat
Ha, the irony of it being Alexander the group's sceptic who offended him in that way!
Re: Cozy chat
Oh dear! This isn't going well!
Re: Cozy chat
So are you not allowing Melody to roll fast talk?
Re: Cozy chat
No, sorry. Actually Melody stated that the Doctor's reaction was because he was used to hearing wild stories from visitors, when in fact they provided the evidence there in the newspaper! That's even worse!
Re: Cozy chat
I meant his referral to Spring-Heeled Jack, but never mind.
Re: Cozy chat
Honeydog. Modern coroners inquests in the UK are open to the general public; is the same true for Victorian era inquests? Or will this require Credit Rating rolls, or such like?
Melody will visit the East End regardless.

I had a look out of interest and found this: http://visitvictorianengland.blogspot.c ... orian.html
Re: Cozy chat
That's a good link, Phil. As we can see, anyone can attend the inquest.

Re: Cozy chat
By the sounds of it, the main difference between then and now is that the post mortem is carried out in full view of those assembled in Victorian times
Re: Cozy chat
I've been busier than expected this weekend, so haven't been able to post.
I'll catch up in all games and, post wherever needed this evening.

*LAUGH*Half-cut and smelling of garlic isn’t going to help your cause either...
Now there are words of wisdom to live by.
Re: Cozy chat
I'm loving the descriptions of the increasingly fed-up coroner!
Re: Cozy chat
It won't get much better for him...
Re: Cozy chat
I've sussed it out, they were looking at the V symbol upside down...

Re: Cozy chat
I’d had the same thought...
Re: Cozy chat
It was staring us in the face all that time.
Re: Cozy chat
What's a good collective noun for a group of occult investigators?
A murder
A pod
A schmuck
A tentacle
A forshortened-lifespan...
You know the AD&D joke that the collective noun for dwarves is "a lakefull"?
A lakefull of dwarves is not the correct collective noun, but it is a good start.
Boom boom.

Re: Cozy chat
The appropriate collective noun is an asylum of investigators.

Perfect.
Re: Cozy chat
I seem to have become focused on the more gourmet aspects of life for the Upper Middle classes in Victorian London. Don't ask me why. I'll pretend it's good role-playing... - Snapper
