Re: [IC - MEXICO] Back at the Hotel
Christopher Fontana
Christopher listened as the record began to play. The voice was melodic enough, but this wasn't something he had ever heard before. It sounded somehow 'alien' or unnatural and set his 'teeth on edge'. The droning melody seemed to pull at the edge of his conciousness but other than that it seemed nothing but an unusual style, very much an acquired taste. Chrstoper found himself in agreement with Victor.

OOC: Are the people that aren't entranced free to act? If Christopher sees the reactions of the people that are affected he will shut off the gramophone. |

Christopher Fontana
Christopher looks around and is shocked to see the reaction that some of his fellows are having, momentarily stunned he then steps over to the gramophone and hastily lifts the needle arm, shutting off the weirdly compelling 'song'.
"That was... good grief, is everyone all-right?" he asks, a little shakily.

"I am," says Holly. "Let's not listen to that again."

"Looks like Mr. Yan was really enjoying himself..." says the smirking professor Cornwall.

"Wh-wha? Oh, oh dear." Huang Yan said, startled as reality winked back into focus. He looked around, and after realising what he had...well, done, he realised he should probably back away from the imminent conversation for a few brief moments. "Excuse me, I swear I saw a lavatory here somewhere. Do excuse me for my inappropriate conduct...something about that song."

Christopher takes the record from the turntable and places it back into it's sleeve. "We should keep these recordings under lock and key, or destroy them." he says ruefully, "and locate the master discs, so that no more of these vile records can be made." Chrisopher's initial concern is getting these recordings away from the group, so that those affected won't be tempted to listen to them.
"We can decide what to do with them in the morning, I'll have them locked in the hotel's safe for now." Christoper empties his briefcase and places the records inside, then makes his way to reception and arranges for the briefcase to be stored in the hotel safe overnight.

"Well I suggest we call it a night and continue our investigations in the morning..." says the travel-weary Professor.

Ian Morin
Coming back from his semi-hallucinatory state, Ian feels thankful that someone turned the bloody thing off. As pleasant as the sexual arousing was, it was too similar to his last Nectar experience to his taste. Confirming that he didn't molested anyone this time, he's more than happy to have a good night of sleep.
"Yes. That's a good idea, Professor."

Re: [IC - MEXICO] Back at the Hotel
"Agreed," says Holly. "Where should we go tomorrow morning? We'll have some time before evening, when we'll want to go back to the cantina. Should we check out Leticia's apartment, bearing in mind that it may be watched?"

OOC: Didn't we need to go to Victor's place to get the address for Brooks? |

Re: [IC - MEXICO] Back at the Hotel
OOC: I vote to go to Victor's. We need to be careful as Victor's place is bound to be watched - we need to get in and out fast and have backup ready. I've a bad feeling about this ... but it's the logical next step. |

Re: [IC - MEXICO] Back at the Hotel
OOC: Perhaps Huang Yan could disguise himself and visit the location? After all, Huang Yan is a charlatan before he is a doctor. |

Re: [IC - MEXICO] Back at the Hotel
OOC: That could work as a distraction - to 'smoke out' anyone watching Victor's place. It'd have to be convincing or things could get dangerous. Probably go with something like being a delivery man? We'd still have to get inside and would the front and back be under surveillance by Brooks' bodyguards? |

Re: [IC - MEXICO] Back at the Hotel
OOC: Sure. Though I’d reckon that being a delivery man require objects to be delivered or at the imitation of authenticity anyways. What do you think would work? |

OOC: Yes, let's buy some trinkets and throw them in a box for delivery |
