The Chapochaug Tunnel Haunting

Post by HoneyDog »

A student has gone missing and the investigators have been tasked to find him. What is the connection to the mysterious abandoned railway tunnel at Chapochaug, which is rumoured to be haunted?

This is a Classic adventure. We have 3 confirmed players already, but we can use one more, so sign up if you're interested!

"The Haunting" was good fun, so I'd like to be considered for this one.

Sure Tabs, come and join us. Would you like to reprise your Norman Owens character? I'm sure we could make him fit. A new one would be okay if you don't want to.

Yeah, that'd be fun! Is evil scientist playing as turquoise-lady?

Yes! ;) Isadora is still alive and relatively sane after 4 games!

Fine! Maybe you both can have a special thread to work out your reunion.

Tabs, are you able to set up the forum? The description in the first post can be used. Mr. Handy is absent right now it seems.

I probably should be able to set up a forum but I don't know how to, and I don't wanna work it out. :) Mr. Handy'll be back soon. It'd be fun to reacquaint Owens with Isadora--um--we could create a new topic in an existing game, or just wait?

Mr. Handy will be back on November 25, if I remember correctly (he posted in the absence topic).

I think we can wait a few days.

Work out the details of Owens' return in the meantime

Well, Mr. Handy's character will be the one approached about the case, so I will have to play that first. That means that you could use that time to play out the reunion, so we can run both threads simultaneously.

As for Norman, I was thinking that he was apprehended by the RCMP and sent back to Boston to stand trial for the arson of the Corbitt House, but he denied it and the case was dismissed by a judge for lack of evidence. The owner of the house wasn't interested in taking it further, seeming to be glad to be rid of the place, and as Norman was of previously good character, he got away with it. Still, he now has a rather dubious reputation which might hinder his future prospects.

How does that sound?

I actually am flying home on the 25th, so I won't be able to post that day. I did have some time tonight, however, so I've created the forum here.

Yeah, sounds good. Norman Owens likes Isadora, which is why, after his arrest, he didn't make contact. He didn't wish to embarrass her--connection with a suspected arsonist.

You could reunite after the trial - perhaps Isadora came to watch and approaches Norman after its finished. Sound okay? I'll start a thread for you in the game forum shortly.

A mysterious, veiled woman sitting in the back row at the Owens arson trial... who is she? ;)

I'm sorry Hanith but I have enough players for this game; I've already worked out the details.

I will be starting a Gaslight adventure early next month though, so if you want to play and don't mind waiting, I'll save a place for you.
