Chit-Chat

Several people arrive at the Appledown Train Station eager to be on the last train north to Ashford. Unfortunately nothing is at seems and everything goes downhill from there.

Laraqua, I'll be out of town until the 23rd, and won't probably be able to post. Feel free to NPC Jonathan if you need to ;)

Ok, @Laraque, can we access the restaurant from the outside? Seems like we can from its description...but wanted to check first.

Yeah, unless the link says LOCKED or BARRED FROM THE INSIDE, you can. :)

Will check in on a daily basis now I've got all my paperwork at the ready for the game and a bunch of personal stuff sorted out. I'll wait for Overlord to post before continuing, in case he wants to check in on the humming voice, otherwise we'll get y'all in the kitchen.

Note: There are book collections in this location you can refer to if you don't have a skill, similar to how Library Use works.

Holy crapy I lost track of time! I could've sworn it was only around a fortnight since my last post.

I hope not. Laraqua hasn't posted in months, but she's disappeared for longer before and still returned.

Incidentally, my character portrait is the late, great Julie Adams.

It was a hell of a year unfortunately! I tried new antidepressants only to have my as-yet-undiagnosed bipolar Type II disorder swing wildly up and down and to anxious every 4 days and then dropped the antidepressant but still had wildly swinging moods with slowly lengthening shallowing mood shifts for a year and a half. Got the right meds now and it's a surprisingly low dose to keep things under control.

So woo!

I imagine you've all moved on from this game but thought I'd let you all know in case anyone wanted to continue. We can do some woogie woogie to help explain why the characters (i.e. players) are a little at a loss as to what just happened (given that so much time has passed).

Welcome back, Laraqua! I'm still here and certainly willing to keep playing, but I think the other players have disappeared. You may want to look for new ones.

Also, you may be interested to know that Zombie Apocalypse has been rebooted, starting over from the beginning. I'm getting ready to start Chapter 2 soon, which is a perfect jumping-in point. Characters that got killed now get another chance, including our favorite villain, who you're welcome to play again. Katarina Iliescu is also back, and you may be interested in playing some of the others as well.

You may also be interested in The Horror in the Blackout, my own Home Front game, the fifth adventure in my Doctor Who/Call of Cthulhu campaign. There are numerous abandoned characters, including the Time Lord and both companions. I've managed to keep it going with the remaining locals, but I could sure use a replacement player for at least one of them.

That is fair! It has been years.

I'm just going to focus on this game to get it completed before looking at others games. On the plus side, it can be done solo, but in a couple weeks if no one else comes back I'll put out a pitch for another player.

That sounds good. While they haven't posted in a very long time, Overlord87 last logged in on March 31, and Ritterton last logged in on September 11, so there's still a chance.

Hi Laraqua, welcome back. :)

Sorry to hear about your problems with your old meds, I hope your new meds carry on doing the trick.

It's great to see you back on here anyway, I'd figured that you were maybe gone for good this time.

If I can get back to posting at full speed this month, then perhaps I could join in this game as well? Like you, I do sometimes go awol, but I always reappear sooner or later.

Merry Christmas. :)

What's the best way for me to join in with this game?

I've been a bit of a crap player and keeper for the last few weeks in every game, but fingers crossed I'll be able to keep up with everything once I've caught up.

I definitely still want to join in here. :)
