"You really should carry it with you at all times," says Kate. "Well, if we get through this, I'm sure you'll remember from now on. Anyone else going in with me?"

"I can stand guard at the door if nothing else." Artemis responded. He looked about the room and headed towards the station master's office.

"Okay," says Kate. "I'll go in. If I scream, pull me out, but hold your breath. As long as your exposure isn't prolonged, it shouldn't be too bad." She enters the office.

"Hm? Oh I think I have a gas mask in my luggage." Charlie says distractedly. "Did anyone else hear that?"

Artemis spun his head back and looked at Charlie, "Here what? Miss Kate? I just yelled at her to see if she was alright?"

Jonathan looks at Charlie with a puzzled expression on his face:"I have heard nothing of the sort".

"Can't say that I have heard anything like that at all, Charile. Sure you are doing ok?" Artemis asked from where he was standing watching for Miss Kate to return.

"Well, good Chap, despite being locked in some version of a hellish nightmare, I have to say it was nice to warm up there by the fire." Artemis quipped with a saracastic grin from the doorway to the Station Master's office. He winked and then turned back to the doorway. "Miss Kate, ay luck in there?"

Kate emerges from the office, tears fogging her vision. She takes off the gas mask as soon as she's clear and wipes her eyes with a handkerchief. "The telegraph was working, and I sent my message," she says. "There weren't any tickets, but I found a working telephone. Somehow, Miss Aston was on the other end. She...she said she was in the kitchen, and they were cooking her! She told me not to come. But it's impossible! How could there be a phone there, and how could she be talking on it while they...?"

The idea of it chills your blood. Not only the horror of her being cooked while aware of it but the sheer very impossibility of her somehow communicating from a train to the railway station. It might seem more comforting to simply discard the notion as the product of delusional disorders, or hallucinations, but after what you have all seen that may be equally hard to truly believe. At least here, swaddled in the warmth of the railway station waiting room you feel a little safer ... though the horrors of what lurks outside press in on the edges. And the horrors of having left her, alone, to a fate worse than death.

Stability Loss: 0/3*

Those who have spent some time conversing in the waiting room lose one fewer stability points if they fail the roll. Charlie loses 1 regardless for having been present during her capture and would have lost an additional point of stability if not for bolstering effect of being in the warmth of the waiting room for awhile (so you only lose 3 if you fail the roll).
Is it bad that I listen to this about ten times a day?

"I knew we shouldn't have left the train without her," says Kate. It takes all of her effort to keep from breaking down. "It was our fault..."

Jonathon takes the news worse than the others....
OOC,Overlord please remember to adjust your sheet. It may be easier if you guys do that so there's no risk of double ups.

Charlie's voice shakes as he says, "It isn't possible, it's just a trick. They're trying to get to us, make us start blaming each other, maybe get someone to go back onto the train. Well it's not going to work on me!"

Jonathan's face goes pale and he has trouble breathing. He slowly says: "We... we can't leave her alone".
Spoiler:
OOC:   Updated my sheet. At Stability 3, I'm probably starting to be on edge, and more likely to make dumb choices... like going back inside the train :D
