Aglakti and Pandoval leave the Dorset tribe behind them. As she walks away she notices Chief Kalituk smiling at her. He waves and Aglakti can sense a certain sadness in his movement. He lowers his head before walking up to the group gathered around Yuralria.

Pandoval turns into a furry white lemming and nuzzles against her neck, offering the Shaman whatever comfort he can.



Will you miss them Shaman?

"They are simply people," says Aglakti. "They are as much my people as the land to the horizon is my land. They do not belong to me nor I to them. There is no sorrow I feel. No pity. They will live and die as I will live and die. That is simply the way of things. The chief's seeming sadness could indicate any number of things ... I refuse to give into presumptions."
