Unalaq admires the wolf, for it is rare indeed to see a black wolf in these regions (I'm assuming). He tilts his head curiously wondering if it is yet another trick of some sort, something to lead him astray. He waves his arm to the wolf and says with a smile, "I will be back to hunt you another day. Stay well until then."

Then he hops onto his dogsled and starts the dogs to follow Faroo and Sashila.

As much as he'd like to hunt the black wolf right then and there, he realizes that there is a ceremony hanging in the balance and the Chief expects their return before it is too late. Not to mention, trying to hunt while just getting over extreme hypothermia is a pretty bad idea.

Unulaq remembers the wolf tracks that stalked Sashilla to the edge of the Weasel River. In fact, he couldn't be sure that the wolf was actually stalking Sashilla. A wolf will usually follow directly behind its prey so they don't lose the scent. This wolf walked alongside her prints and at a similar pace.

The footprints entered the river along sideSashilla and then dissappeared. His hunting skills told him that the wolf did not cross unless they had both already crossed the river before it had suddenly thawed.

ooc - Also the river is running the wrong way... towards the mountains. Lots of strange shit going on.

Unalaq makes a mental note to bring that up to the Shaman and maybe she could bring light to the whole strange goings-on around the river. But he had a ceremony to attend, and chances are they were already running late.

Unulaq follows after Faroo and Sashila. The Black Wolf strides along the river beside the Dorset hunter until Unulaq breaks east towards the combing ceremony grounds and the birth place of the godess Sedna.

Behind him the wolf howls sending shivers down Unulaq's spine.
