oc - sorry G-dizzie-o. ALl rolls are d100 except for init and weapon damage. Multiply your DEX x5 then roll under it on 1d100 to see if you lose your balance and fall into the icy waters to be maukled to death by giant killer whales and demon eyes Belugas.

OOC: A Dex x 5 roll with a d100 is identical to a DEX roll with a d20.

OOC -1 is the best roll you could get G-Dizzler. For Berger the drunk, it's all just par for the course. Most of the time, the furniture is singing ballads... whales talking are no surpsise!

ooc - yes it is 1d6. One could easily go quite mad when dealing with talking whales.

The dragonboat crashes back down to the ocean surface and everyone aboard keeps their footing. The whale's thick white skin begins to boil as the creature's fins turn to massive white paws covered in bloody patches of white fur and sharp dark claws. The paws grab hold of the side of the dragon boat and the beast begins to pull itself in.

ooc - one more sanity roll. 1d100. If you fail you can't act. If you pass then give me your action. (strike, damage, str bonus) or other.

Orm's floating mast continues it's pace towards shore. Tristan, having made a run for is suddenly pulled beneath the surface of the water. He cries for help before his is dragged below.

The massive orca bites the end of Oddlog and Hildegarr's mast swallowing the Viking at it's end whole. The mast falls and the Vikings all begin cutting their ropes to escape the giant throashing beast.

Vikings scream for help in every direction. It's a massacre.

ooc - Orm roll spot hidden.

OOC: Sanity 70, rolled 19

IC: Berger, seemingly not bothered in the least by the talking whale turned polar bear, mutters to himself about damned animals that can't even decide which fucking species they want to belong to and takes a swing at the beast with his sword.

OOC: you want me to roll my attack or wait for init rolls?

ooc – no initiative needed this round G-Dizzle.. You guys all get a free attack on the beastie while it changes its form (if you passed your san check and still have your wits about you.) Next round, there will be an initiative.

Orm doesn’t notice the giant shape of a Beluga whale charge him from below. It grabs tightly to his boot and begins to pull him down. (no damage) Orm’s rope holds the weight and the mast keeps him and the other Vikings afloat. The white whale with dark red eyes continues to pull.

ooc - DEX x5 roll to hold onto the mast. Then tell me what you do.

ooc- STR damage in call of cthulhu is calcualted by adding your STR and your CON and consulting a table. Berger is a big boy so his damage bonus is 1d6. His sword does 1d8 damage for a total of 1d8 + 1d6. Most of the Vikings have a 1d4 damage bonus with the exception of Ingvar, Berger and Oddlog. The Brutes.

Orm tries to keep his grip of the mast. He then tries to pull out his scramsaex while holding on to the mast if possible and then he tries to injure the accursed beast hoping that a wound will make the whale let go of its grip.

Orm pulls out his scramasax and thrusts it down into the white whale's head. Blood pumps out of the wound as Orm continues hs assualt, stabbing down and pulling himslef up. The whale holds tight, still unable to pierce the Viking's armor and cause Orm any real harm.

oc - STR resistance check to pull your leg free. (sorry I rolld your attack and damage to speed things up)

Two of the four Vikings cut themselves free, panic clear on their face. Almost immediately one of them disappears below the bloody water taken by one of the many terrible beasts.

Logain gets his sword free. (successful DEXx5 check) He calls out to his fellow Viking.

Hold on Orm!

Logain stabs down with all his might but dropshis sword as the whale thrashes about.

Damn you demon!

Berger stabs at the morphing creature with the heart of a true norseman. His sword simply grazes the beast (1 damage) as the bubbling skin and blubber turns quickly to matted fur. Melkorka makes room for Ingvar , stepping to the back of the Dragon boat, cackling wildly.

Kill it Kill it! We must reach the shore my chosen ones... Kill it! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!

Sigfurd still gravely wounded from the Narwhale tusk pulls it free from his chest and tosses it into the ocean in disgust. Ingvar lands a terrible blow on the creatures neck with his axe(7 damage), shooting a fountain of blood over Berger and himslef. Still, the creature pulls itself onto the boat until nearly half of the creature is visable above the water. A full sized polar bear, it roars and snaps it's jaws at Berger... falling just short of his buldging belly.

The boat rocks back and forth as the polar bear with red glowing eyes continues to heave it's hulking form further onto the dragon boat.

ooc - OK sorrry for the long pause.

ooc - I need Init 1d10, strike1d100, parry1d100, damage1d8, str damage bonus1d6, and DEx4 1d100. Almost to shore boys and girls... you just have to survive the masssacre. Don't fall in.

Orm can't shake free of the Beluga and the whale finally drags him down. His rope still holds tight to the mast. Logain stabs down at the creature with his scramasax but his long knife does no real damge. Dangling at the end of his rope, Orm is left is in serious trouble...

oc - what do you do? attack and damage rolls or other...

Orm tries in panic to attack the whale with his scramsax. If he will die in this frigid water he will take his bane with him!

Attack the Beluga whale!(1d100=43)

Damage? (1d4+1=5)
