Re: Chapter 2 : V-day : Corazon

Post by DSIGFUSS »

A dark shadowy figure rises through the ice and grabs hold of Corizon’s leg. She can feel the creature pulling her solid form through the ice and she quickly jerks her leg free before the shadow can gain a proper hold.

Corazon turns to face her would be attacker and lashes out with her sharp boney claws. Her claws rake across the figures chest and it moans in pain. Then Corazon’s teeth sink deep into the figures neck and in seconds the shadowy figure is still. Half of its body remains buried beneath the ice and other half slumps to the cavern floor with a lifeless thud.

Corazon looks down and immediately recognizes the shadowy figure as a Taqriaqsuit; one of the few creatures of the spirit world that have established actual settlements amongst the ever-changing landscape. They mostly keep to themselves; worshipping Sedna and all her pantheon in their solitude. Corazon has always thought the Taqriaqsuit a peaceful people. Why they have chosen to attack Nanook is a complete mystery to Corazon. Perhaps they can sense something is wrong in the Bear God or perhaps they are displeased that a Shaman Hunter follows him so closely. Whatever the case may be, Corazon can hear Nanook roar his displeasure from further on down the cavern.

As Corazon moves to follow, two more Taqriaqsuit rise through the ice holding shining metal shields and long golden spears. They take a defensive posture blocking the Shaman Hunter’s path to the Shadow Bear.

Corazon snarls at them in displeasure, raising one of her clawed hands in challenge.

"Come on, bitches," she called, knowing that this was probably going to hurt her more than it would hurt them, at least at first: a little confidence was always helpful, though. She shifted her weight ever so slightly, ready to block when needed.

Corazon set her sights on the leftmost attacker: if only she could get a hold with her teeth, it would be so much easier to tear him to ribbons.

--- --- ---

Initiative 5, Dex 18
Parry 87% (Claw = 90%), Parry 47%, Bite 39% (70%), 8 Damage

Is this right? ^0.o^

The shadow on the right lunges forward with his golden tipped spear as Corazon leaps on his companion, pushing the weapon aside. Corazon's claws rake the side of his neck and the Shaman hunter finds herself spining up and around his back, biting deep into the shadow's neck. The Shadow falls prone as Corazon tastes it's black juicy life.(11 damage) Neither make a sound but both continue their fight.

Corazon hears the Black bear god howl in anger. The sound of thick claw on shield echoes through the icy cavern.

oc - almost. You forgot your damage. It's cool though I rolled it for you.

ooc - need claw (1d100) claw (1d100) bite (1d100) and damage (1d6 per claw) and 1d4 bite plus 1d4 STR bonus.

-when you parry you give up one of your claw attacks or a bite. Also a bite attack leaves you vulnerable. enemies recieve a +10% to hit you. ;)
