[OC Actually I asked that because I wasn't sure how close to the door she was sitting]

Brianna begins to sob, thinking of the desperation of the situation. Now I know what they felt like during the war....desperate for their own life....

She clutches Ronald's leg fearfully and squeezes her eyes shut.

Ronald begins to sweat. It is as though he just stepped into an oven. His vision blurs a little as the symptoms of heat stroke begin to cloud his thoughts. The air raid shelter around him seems to pulse with waves of heat that no one else seems to feel. He can hear the words of Candy Rock Mountain humming through his head - as though he could hear Brianna singing it over and over, tunelessly.

Ronald falls to one knee and shakes his head trying to get his senses back to normal.

We got to get out of here! It's hotter than H-E-Double hockey sticks! We got to get out of here!

Panicking, He picks up Brianna and begins to push his way through the crowd to the bomb shelter door.

Let us out! We have to get out!

Ronald begins to cloud over. Bubbles forming on his skin and popping in a grotesque parody of pustulent life. Silence comes from him as he drops Brianna roughly to the floor as the bubbles pop and disappear.

People begin screaming and running for the exit.

1/1d6 SAN loss.

"Ronald!" cries Lionel, though he is not too badly shaken. "Brianna!" He rushes to where Brianna fell and picks her up to keep her from being trampled, checking for further injuries. "People, please don't panic! I'm not certain what happened, but it appears to be over. It's not safe out there! The bombs are still falling! We can leave when the all clear sounds." He speaks with all of the authority his age and profession can bring to bear.

The group, astonished, pause mid-step, glancing at each other as though to confirm that they had just seen what they thought they had seen.

"Gas?" murmurs one.

"Gas!" the word gets taken up as a mantra and people reach for their gas masks. Unfortunately, by this point in the war, many had given up on their being a gas attack and had taken to leaving their gas mask at home.

Someone tries to force a gas mask on Brianna, seeing that she has none of her own.

"Noooooo!!!" Brianna screams and cries, her arms pushing away the mask and her voice cracking with distress and hysteria. "Ronald! Where....ROOONALLD! Help...where are you!!!"

"Gently, gently now," says Lionel to the person trying to put a mask on Brianna. He holds her tight and hugs her. "It's all right, Brianna, we'll find him. When the all clear sounds, we'll go see Daniel. He's good at finding lost people. In the meantime, Agnes and I will look after you. Don't worry, I don't think it is gas, but it doesn't hurt to be careful."

Agnes puts a gentle, comforting hand on Brianna's shoulder and tries not to look worried. "We'll find him. It'll be okay." When Brianna isn't looking, she tries to meet Lionel's gaze with a questioning look of her own.

Lionel meets her eyes with a confident gaze. "Yes, it's going to be fine. We'll find Ronald again, wherever he's gone. We can talk all about it when we see Daniel."

OOC: Your choice. Any 1 stat. You can gain the benefits of an improved stat, too! Additional skill points, etc.

OOC: Trying to substitute me already?
I have already make the change.

After seeing Jason, Agnes was getting used to see extraordinary things, so she didn't pay much attention to Ronald and decided to concentrate herself in helping Brianna.

-Do not worry, i'm sure he is fine, and as soon as we can, we will find him.

[OOC: I think Ronald already did too, and it looks like he took +1 POW. That gives you a free 5 Sanity points, but I'm surprised he didn't take +1 EDU instead. He had 17 EDU, so this would raise his Own Language to 90% automatically and get him +2d6 Sanity, which is usually at least 5, not to mention 20 extra occupational skill points. That's what I did for Lionel, who unlike Ronald won't get to keep those points. Of course, +1 POW also gets you +5 Luck and +1 Magic Point. I don't think Brianna has a skill she can get to 90%, so for her it makes sense to get the +1 POW for extra Sanity.]

"Or he might find us," says Lionel. "I know he wants to be with you again, Brianna, and he'll do everything he can to make that happen. We'll all be together again, I'm sure of it."

Brianna's eyes are red rimmed, the tears flowing freely. It didn't matter what anyone said or did, she cried quietly in this awful, unfamiliar place.

Ronald was like family....how could he just leave me like this? Where could he have gone???

Lionel hugs Brianna and holds her tight. "Ronald didn't leave you by choice, sweetie," he assures her. "We'll find him again." He considers what had happened to Ronald, but he had never heard of anything like it. Yet I don't know what it looked like to everyone else around us when Jennifer and I went back in time, he thinks. We weren't still there to see what it looked like. And then there was my vision of the future. I wonder...could he have been transported to another time? It happened once, so why not again? Perhaps he was snapped back to our time, like a rubber band. Could the same thing happen to me and Brianna?
