ASH: Louie

Post by Laraqua »

Louie watches the others leave into the Accident & Emergency section. Behind him is the rest of the hospital. Dr. Sutcliffe must be somewhere in there. He remembers, vaguely, that the linoleum had a long bloodstain beneath where his feet now stood. He could almost see it there and yet ... it wasn't really there, was it?

Man I need to get off my feet. I guess the best place to find her would be her office. I don't know if I'll make it that far though. Louie flags down the first nurse, doctor, or orderly that he sees.

The staff largely ignore him. Typical public hospital... They were all so busy they brushed him off and continued on their way before he could get his first few words out. After all, dressed as he was in a janitorial uniform, they could hardly think much more of him. Apparently, word of his revival hadn't gotten around ... or perhaps it was simply that no one cared.

Louie decides subtlety is getting him no where. He crumples down to the floor and lies there waiting for someone to help. It's not that hard to do considering he's so weak. He just gives over to the exhaustion.

Louie berates a passing nurse as she steps over him. Seeing that he is getting no where he starts to get frustrated. Then it comes to him. It's so simple. Just like the comercial he saw on american t.v. he yells.

Help. I've fallen and I can't get up.

There's a moments silence as a few people look around themselves, frowning, but then they go back to their tasks.

Louie slowly makes his way back to his feet and start making his way to Dr. Sutcliffes office.

What kind of hospital is this. I just woke up from a three year coma and no one will help me. I can barely stand up.

occ what are you mad at me. all Louie wants is a little attention.

Louie feels progressively weaker as he makes his way down the corridor. The odds of blacking out increase substantially, or so it seems. If he continues on this path, he might wind up unconscious on the floor. Is he willing to risk it?

Louie decides to give up. He looks for something soft and rolls it up into a pillow. He then lies down in the middle of the hallway and let's himself drift off to sleep. Stupid people will have to step over me.

Louie finds sleep elusive. The floor is hard and the air chills his skin, sucking the warmth from the flesh. Then his nose is hit by a harsh iron tang and something else, something old and heavy, that lies on the air. There is a damp scent, too, that of mould, not of the normal sterile scents of the hospital. His eyes flicker but they don't open - or at least, they couldn't have opened. The world is still black.

Louie makes his way back to his feet and tries to look around. Great now I'm blind. This is just freaking wonderful. Feeling scared, and frustrated Louie sits back down with his legs crossed, and starts calling out. Hello anyone. I can't see anything. Can you help me. I'm probably in a different reality now....just when I was starting to like the last one.

His voice is distorted with a slight echo. The floor is ... damp with something. Something familiar settles in his mouth when he speaks and enters his nose when he breathes, burning his lungs ... ash?

occ. Gee locked in a dark room. You've been taking requests from trixie.

He follows the wall down and feels it turn around a corner. He goes to follow it and bangs his knee against wood. Reaching down, he feels some sort of smooth counter, topped with pens, a cold mug of some sickly smelling liquid, and a computer. Moving his hands across it, he finds another corner shortly away... A doorway? With a desk in front of it?

Louie feels his clothing trying to determine whether he has on his janitors uniform or if he's back in the wool cloak from before.

His clothing has returned to the ash-stained cloak and the various assortment of items he had held before. His right foot clacks on something, knocking it aside. Feeling down he finds ... a shotgun?

Louie is relieved to be back in his cloak. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his lighter. Lighting it he looks for something he can make a torch out of.

There is a mop nearby, laying on the floor by the wall of the corridor. It appears he is in the same position he was when he had lain down.
