Agnes simply couldn't stand anymore and started to cry.

The girl fades away until there's nothing left behind.

Lionel cries for a few moments before finally dragging himself back to his feet. "She must have snapped back to the present much as Ronald may have," he says to Agnes. "At least she's probably with him now. I know how much she missed him. I don't know why I'm still here, except I still have work to do. If I disappear too, it will be up to you to complete it. I don't want to lay such a heavy burden upon you, but you do not need to bear it alone. I shall do what I can for as long as I am with you, and Daniel and Annie can be counted on as well. We must proceed to the library and find them. Then we can fill them in on what has happened and decide what to do next."

-But find what? I don't know exactly what we are looking for!

"I meant that we should find Daniel and Annie first," says Lionel. "They said they'd meet us at the library. Once we talk to them, we can discuss our next step."

Agnes compose herself and then says:
-Alright, let's go then.

"After you," says Lionel, both out of politeness and because Agnes is the one who knows the way to the library.

-Thank you.
Agnes goes to the library.

A dog barks in the distance. The streets feel odd, almost electrically charged, as though the closer they get to the library, the more something closes in on them. Something heavy. Something strong. Something that doesn't want them there.

"Are you getting the same oppressive feeling I am?" asks Lionel. "It's like something doesn't want us to go to the library, something powerful, but I can't imagine what it could be. The only other choice I can see is to go to the hospital and do whatever we can, but I don't think the two of us can do it by ourselves. We need help, and without Ronald and Brianna, that leaves Daniel and Annie. Personally, I think we should keep trying to get to the library to meet them, but what do you think we ought to do?"

-That's odd. I mean, if the solution is in the library, why would't whateaver it is the thing, trying to stop us? Unless it is another being. Let's try the library anywhy.

"I agree, let us proceed," says Lionel. "It is possible that there are two powerful beings that oppose each other. Still, in the absence of any specific instructions from the one that sent me here, the library is our best bet. The feeling I'm getting is more trying to keep us away from the library than directing us towards any particular place. We should both keep alert, however. Anything that powerful may take more drastic steps to stop us."

-Well, we will try the library unless we find some threat; in that case we will stay outside library waiting for Miss Ann and young Daniel.
