Leroy passes a car and notices the man in the driver's seat gazing at him intently. Then there's the flash of lights (recently placed on the roof of the unmarked car) and the sound of a police siren as the other car does a u-turn and comes up behind them.

Oh shit, thinks Leroy.

As he slows down and pulls into the side of the road he tries to shake Carson awake.

"Carson, Carson wake up, its the rozzers. Wheres the car registration man, and I aint got no fucking licence, shit. Wake up!"

Getting out of the car, Charles thought for a moment why he had actually pulled over the car because they had not really done anything except for a burst of static which may or may not have come from the car. He could not think of a good reason and decided to stall for time as he walked up to the car.

Walking up he saw three males as he flashed his light into the car.

"Yes Sir, can I see your license and registration please?"

Leroy fumbles around in the glove compartment until he finds Carsons licence and the registration. He tries to get a make on the man approaching the car, was he in uniform, some sort of cop? Recalling his recent experiences and the omens they've recieved he is instantly on guard.

Seeing the man fumble around his glove compartment, Charles said, "Sir I want to see your licence and registration right now and I want you to keep your hands where I can see them. Do not make me call for backup!"

Carson shrugs himself awaking once he recognizes that the main is a police officer in uniform. He looks around cautiously, but doesn't say anything, helping Leroy get the registration out of the glove compartment.

"sir I am a police detective assigned to the city of Rye. I pulled you over for a very good reason. Now please let me see your license and registration or I will have to take you in and charge you with a crime." Meanwhile in the back of his mind he was trying to figure out a good reason for having pulled over the car but still could not figure out a good reason.

Charles sighed and pulled out his id badge shining the flashlight on it. "there now I have shown you what I got, you show me your license and registration or I will have to take you both in." As he said this, he placed his hand on the car door ready to open it if needed.

By this time Leroys senses are on full alert.

a plain clothes detective assigned to a small out of the way town like Rye? if you dont co operate, i'll find a crime to charge you with? jesus this stinks. Hes careful to keep the engine idling.

"Here you are officer" he says handing over the papers. "Do you mind telling us what we've done wrong?"

Leroy hands over the vehicular registration and a license (I'm assuming he hands over his own driver's license from his wallet and not white boy Carson's).

Charles looked at the license and noticed that the license and registration were in different names. This time he figured that something was not right.
"Sir," he said to Leroy, "Why are there two different names on the registration and the license. Did you steal this car?"

"No, of course not" says Leroy, getting some outrage into his voice. "The car belongs to my mate Carson here, but he was feeling sleepy, nodding off, so it seemed safer for me to take the wheel while he had a quick nap." Leroy smiles brightly.

"Sir, the reason I stopped you was that there have been a string of murders including a recent one not far from where I got on your tail. You looked suspicious by slowing down and staring at me and when you passed my car a burst of staic occured. Now, where were you going and what interest do you have in watching local cops solve murder cases. Answer me quick, or I will have to bring you in and charge you with murder," Charles said.

"Well if you say so it must be true." Charles said. "I am going to go run your license and registration right now and then will be back. Do not go anywhere."

OOC: Do me the favor, gentlemen, of writing up your priors. Do it like this...

Last Name, First Name
Age
Country of Origin
List of prior offences, starting with the most recent.

Joel and the Detective Sergeant both don't need to do this, obviously.
