Jack doesn't feel as if he has any basis upon which to accuse or even suspect Turlow, so he'd just be asking about the five or so people the captain mentioned as also having access to the reefer. Mainly, he's just on a fishing expedition, looking for any hint dropped, but he's not really expecting much of anything to be revealed to a lubber--and a reporter--like him.]
