Chit-Chat

Listen. Sometimes it hurts to let it all slip away. Sometimes it's easier just to die. But how can we do that when we know that she's out there? Waiting for me. Waiting for all of us. If you would only find her, maybe we could finally rest.

I guess it's just one of those games that's not available on PC in America, then, at least not in stores. Fortunately I can always buy the PS3 version once it comes down in price to someting reasonable.

The Steam version is handy as you don't need the CD key. Maybe see if you can download it via the Steam program? It is a really good game, actually. I'd say it's more like a bridge between the themes (not the plot, but the themes) of Silent Hill 1 and Silent Hill 2... Can't give anything else away.

you can buy online, and download it straight from Steam (you get no physical components).
however, if you buy a Steam game in the store, you'll need to enter the CD key and the ability to install the game from CD or DVD.

also: happy bday!
kabukiman wrote:No, my wife really bought the cd (actually it's a dvd), but after saving what is there, I must make download of the rest from the site.
those are most likely updates / patches for the game. normally, you can manually abort the update, but i'd advize against it.
Mr. Handy wrote:Laraqua, do Imme, SuAside, and Piano Man know the game is supposed to be moving again and they need to roll initiative?
the answer would be: yes, i'm checking this forum about every 2 days, but nothing was said in the previous thread about moving to a new one? didn't want to metagame my way into another thread that was perhaps ahead of my own.

anyhow, for letting this slip you can penalise my initiative if you want. Charlie would probably spend his time looking at the guy playing with his weapon and keeping everyone away from Jill til he has figured out just what the fuck is going on... :)

Laraqua did instruct all of us to move to the new Chapter Three thread in this post.

It's cool. You can still roll Initiative. I should have bugged everyone about it earlier.

Again, I love your wife's taste in games.

Tell her so for me...

Your wife is the awesome.

By the way, I have a Silent Hill 2 Pyramid Head t-shirt! I didn't even know they produced them until an old friend of mine bought for me on a trip to America.

Thanks, I'm sure she will like to know she has an admirer...
Finished the downloads but it was too late, so I only saw the movie at the beggining. Seems great, and guess what I will be playing this weekend
I never played silent hill 2 (didn't have a computer good enought at the time, and now it's impossible to find the game, unless I find someone who sells it). The pyramid is a foe, isn't it?

I got Silent Hill 2 years ago (first one I played, and my favorite so far), and you'd probably have to go online to find someone selling the PC version of it. I do still sometimes see used copies of the PS2 version for sale in stores. Yes, Pyramid Head is an recurring enemy. I don't want to say too much more about him because I don't want to give away any surprises.

Enjoy the game (when you have a chance to play it)!

Brianna also got a 20, back in the Chapter Two thread. There are other NPCs aboard (Annie, Phil, Stephen, and Aidan) who don't have initiative numbers yet.

I'll get this game back on track by Friday. Sorry for the wait. Things have been hectic but look like they'll be slowing down.

Hooray, and welcome back! 8-) Keep in mind I will be away this weekend, but if you post early enough on Friday in Australia it will still be Thursday here (though I do need to wait for Jill). Still, you know what Sarah and Lionel are doing unless someone else does something before they go that might influence that. Does Daniel act before Sarah?

Did you PM Imme (and the other players) to let them know the game's starting again?

Brianna goes on 20; she's missing from the above table. Aidan, Annie, and Phil aren't listed either, but you have Daniel listed as 21 and Blackworth as 10. One of them is probably supposed to be somebody else.

Wow, its been awhile I can hardly remember who Aidan and Phil were... That's bad. I'll have to do some back reading.

And yeah, one of them was supposed to be Annie, the lower one.

Imme last logged in on May 26. I know she's been very busy - she had to drop her character Dr. Heather Kilgore in Reboot over on Dark and Moody, and I took her over just before the Keeper (ImpInTraining) would have killed her off.

Is Louie with us?
