Character creation

The scientific world was amazed by reports from the 1931 Miskatonic University expedition into uncharted Antarctica. The entire world was shocked by the tragedy which followed. Now a new larger expedition will brave the mysteries of the icy continent. How credible were Miskatonic University reports of fossilized remains of ancient life forms predating all known terrestrial life? Will your expedition return in glory or tragedy?

Katie Wright

Post by Mr. Handy »

My character covers two out of three, and she also already comes with 60% in Climb. Katie Wright is a physical powerhouse. Mentally, not so much, though her high EDU means she's a great pilot.

Name: Katie Wright
Age: 23 (born December 17, 1909)
Sex: Female
Occupation: Pilot
Yearly Income: $2,500
College, Degrees: M.S., Physics, Ohio State
Birthplace: Dayton, Ohio

Appearance & Personality:
Image
Katie is a tall, slender redhead with rather plain looks, though she could probably be pretty if she put in the effort. She moves with grace and athleticism, and is a good deal tougher than she might appear at first glance. She is a very determined person, and once she decides what she wants, she does not give up until she gets it.

Background:
Katie was born in Dayton, Ohio and is a cousin twice removed of Wilbur and Orville Wright. She was born on the sixth anniversary of their historic first flight, and she has always been fascinated by flying. She has wanted to be a pilot ever since she was a little girl, and whenever people told her that girls couldn't fly airplanes, it only made her more determined than ever to prove them wrong. She studied long and hard in school and logged many hours to get to where she is today. Her accomplishments have earned her even the grudging respect of men who had once belittled her. She knows and keeps in touch with well-known aviators, including Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart. Now she has an astounding opportunity to join the Starkweather-Moore expedition to Antarctica, to go where no one - man or woman - has gone before, and she intends to grab it with both hands.

Were there templates for the occupations listed above? Besides the standard CoC occupations.

All good but thank you. I might nominate 8 relevant skills for a cartographer occupation if you have no objection. One of them will be Navigate!

I also have a character from an earlier game, possibly the same as Mr Handy. He is a photographer with 60% climb, 50% psychology, has been on a polar survival course and has a lot of luggage.
Could I use him? His name is Martin le Blanc, Canadian.
