Ch.1b Scouting Party (Benjamin & Boyd)

Turning about, Benjamin and Boyd found themselves heading back downriver, buffeted by the wind and driving snow. The dividing line between the land and water was indistinct and their footing was unsure, sometimes finding themselves propelled along the ice, trying not to fall.

Boyd don't have any idea where they are.

Lead by Benjamin the two men pushed on, making their way back towards the rest of the party. The snow swirled in the blustery wind and at times, they could barely see a few yards in front.

At one point, they thought they heard a noise, and a tall, dark shadow appeared passed before them as if for a moment, but then the snow cleared again and three figures emerged, with a fourth being towed behind on a makeshift sled…
