9:15 PM - Monday, April 20, 1517

As Jacques, Jean Luc, Brook, and Leonardo da Vinci reached the top of the stairs, they saw Story coming from the direction of Leonardo's quarters in their direction.

Blast! I am too late to the party. They have already dispersed. What now?

*smiling and waving pleasantly at the group, but then shifting into a slight pouty-face*

"Oh hello everyone. But alas, as I see you all here, I must conclude that I am indeed too late to partake in any evening victuals. 'Tis too bad, as now I am quite hungry. Has everyone else also retired? Or perchance does some time remain for the meal?"

*looks suddenly quizzical*

"And anyway, where are you all off to now?"

[Snapper]

Jacques raises an eyebrow. "Ah, have you perhaps been sampling the wines, Mme Story? You sound as though you have been."

"In any event, dinner is finished but I'm sure the Duc's capable staff could whisk you up a three course meal in minutes, should you wish. Perhaps no more wine for now, if I may suggest?"

"Meantime, I should be grateful if you could advise us of the most recent events with our metal friend. As much as the wine allows you to remember."

[Mr. Handy]

"Yes, I'm sure the servants will be happy to bring up food and drink," said Leonardo.

[Snapper]

Jacques shrugs and looks at the others. "Master Da Vinci, shall we see what is happening in your quarters?" He gestures in that direction.

[Mr. Handy]

"Yes, let us do so," replied Leonardo.

[Snapper]

After hesitating for a brief moment of chivalric internal debate, Jacques decides he should forgo offering to escort Mme Brook at his arm, and in lieu go first through the door. Satisfied with his decision, he squares his shoulders and marches forward to Da Vinci's quarters at the head of the quartet.

"Right, Mademoiselle, Master, ah, and you, fellow, follow me. I believe I shall enter first, just in case."

" Oh please lead on mon ami, hopefully we may find some excitement to work some of tonights fine food off."

[Mr. Handy]

Jacques led the way into the workshop, followed by Jean Luc, Leonardo, Story, and Brook. The room appeared deserted, apart from the mysterious automaton. The puzzle box sat on the desk.

Jean Luc picks up the puzzle box,turning it in his hand. "What sights could you show is" he whispers under his breath.

[Snapper]

Jacques looks over at the automaton. "Good evening metal man. What have you been doing while we were at the Duc's dinner?"

"Do you have any better idea why you are come alive?"

[Mr. Handy]

Suddenly, the automaton sprang into motion and advanced on Jean Luc, its arms outstretched. It had no weapon in them, but it was no less menacing...
