The Incident Room: General Chat

As a London copper, I’ve seen some pretty weird shit, but even I was taken aback when I learned that magic was actually a thing. Real, proper magic, with spells and everything!

Also, ghosts are real! And vampires, trolls, fairies, river gods… and there’s this whole subculture of weirdos and half-fae… oh, and don’t get me started on talking bloody foxes…

Shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Metropolitan Police secretly know all about this crap. There’s the Special Assessment Unit, run from this posh house called The Folly by a posh Detective Inspector called Nightingale (and his apprentice Peter Grant), that investigates supernatural crimes and other weird bollocks. And it turns out, they’re recruiting…

Skipper's run of extreme bad luck / curse of the River Gods has just taken an abrupt right turn.

I'm interpreting the skittles rules that the second roll (fail) overruled the first roll (hard success) and you revert to the 1d10/2 roll. That sound right?

So, as you can see in my last post, I did an accidental dice roll of a d100 and it's randomly appearing in the post even though I didn't choose to include it inline. How do I delete this?

Hmm… as I recall, you can’t. Stops unscrupulous folk re-posting with better dice rolls I suppose!

Sounds reasonable :P I'll just edit it to be ignored then!

Was looking at the map of Nen village on my phone and misread the bottom part as "Pooh Houses". For one brief moment I thought this adventure had taken a turn for the very surreal indeed. Who didn't love AA Milne though?

(Notes that Snapper is criticising my map making skills and adjusts the difficulty level of their rolls accordingly)

Would I be right in guessing that Nennington is based on the real life hamlet of Nunnington, located just outside of Hereford? Not an area I know too well but the names seem suspiciously similar... :geek:

Not too far away. The Nennington Arms is based on the Cross Keys pub, just down the road, where as a lad I used to stick for the skittles team.

We're all hoping for the Vicar of Dibley but we're more likely to get the Woman in Black... :P

Can the rest of us do Vestigia checks? We seem to all have the skill but on the other hand, haven't been magic trained like the Met's arcanist.
