Nothing to do I think. Apart from making sure to keep light sleep and a closed windows. There could be a demon hunting things arround.

"I brought two in my gun case," says Bonnie, "a rifle and a shotgun. The rifle's for me. I don't want to get close enough to a beastie to use a shotgun, but if one of ye who is unarmed wants to borrow it, ye'd be welcome. I'd suspected that Dr. McBride was related. This confirms it."

"I would take your offer of the shotgun, although not proficient i do know my way around one from my youth, shooting various vermin from the farms."

The Manor is just on the outskirts of the village, not much more than 1/4 mile away. There is a track (not a road) up to the Manor although it is badly maintained and wasn’t designed with motor vehicles in mind.

"Aye, bright and early," says Bonnie.

[Snapper]

"Right, early evening, early rise. Slowly, slowly, catchee monkey, as we say in Africa. And I'm going to keep my rifle in it's gun case when I bring it down on the morning." And with that, Ascot retires for the evening.

Once upstairs, Ascot will load up his rifle and 5 rounds in his revolver, leaving the 6th chamber empty for safety.
