Gui cursed himself for being a fool and blew out the candle he was holding. He stepped quietly but quickly after the figure to see where he went, his blackjack held ready…

[Mr. Handy]

With the candlelight gone, Gui could no longer see very well as he moved through the corridor.

Gui, please roll Sneak.

Perfectly balanced, Gui stepped lightly towards the opening, trying to ascertain who he had seen without further alerting the interloper to his presence.

[Mr. Handy]

Gui crept through the corridor, silent as a ghost. He passed the panel leading to his own room. The one beyond it was the one behind which he had earlier heard women talking. Indeed, two of them stood in the entryway of the open secret passage. Now that he was close enough, and that a light was shining from the room on the other side of the panel, he recognized them from last night when they had emerged from the blue box.

Gui paused for a moment, then stepped closer to the doorway. He was pretty sure that the person he had seen must be one of the women in Da Vinci’s room from the evening before. In a low voice, he called out, ”Madamoiselle, I mean you no harm. It is Gui, the poor, misjudged fellow from Monsieur Da Vinci’s room last night. If I can rely on your discretion, then I will show myself to you.”

[Mr. Handy]

Right before Gui spoke, one of the women squeaked “Quick, let’s go back to the Tardis!”

After he finished speaking, a different woman let out a long breath and replied "Slowly."

[Philulhu]

Gui slipped his blackjack back into his sleeve, and straightened his clothes. With his hands held open by his sides to show he meant no harm, he stepped into the opening.

”Please forgive my interruption, Mesdamoiselles. I found the passage and decided to explore. It seems you did the same,” he said.
