The truck

You notice a change: the infested seem to follow you but they leaving a certain distance between each other, like if they were creating a net (but they are all well behind you).

Keeping a wary eye on the infected, Ota called out, ”They’re up to something! Look at how they’re moving!” His lips pursed as he thought about their situation for a moment, then said ”Swing a bit closer to town. Let’s see if we can’t see what the others are up to.”

50 minutes
You return to the city, but don't see anyone of the group. But suddenly, from the upper floors of the buildings, several infested seem that they will try to jump to the truck..

[Philulhu]

”You’re too close! Drive! Drive!” Ota yelled, firmly placing the blame on Jacob for the incoming attack.

His rifle snapped up and he pulled the trigger, trying to take down the infected before they landed…

I’m assuming I’m firing into a crowd, so haven’t applied a modifier for firing from a vehicle but feel free to amend as required.

No crow and no secondary damage; you only ht 2 guys (who fall flat in the gound). Another one manage to land in the truck.
Jacobs is driving as fast as he can.

Ota slammed a booted foot into the infected, trying to pin it against the side of the truck while bringing his rifle to bear and pulling the trigger…

Ota scanned the roofline for signs of any other infected getting ready to jump and said, ”Head back to the station - see if the others are still there. If they’re not, we head back to the police station. Ok?”

He switched his attention to the corpse in front of him, aiming at the head. Had the bug creature survived?

"Ok!"
He starts driving in direction of the station; when you are almost there, you notice a group of 4 behind and 3 in front.
30 minutes.

[Philulhu]

”Keep going, driver!” Ota shouted. ”I want a positive ID before I shoot!”

Ota knows that some of the others are out here and, showing unusual restraint for him, isn’t going to shoot until he makes sure he isn’t shooting someone who isn’t infected.

Those behind scream:
"Please help us"
Those in front scream:
"Ia!Ia!!

Ota slammed his hand on the roof of the truck. ”Back up! Back up! Survivors behind us!” he shouted.

He waited until the truck came to a halt, then gun down the approaching infected!

They fall to the ground, and you see the bugs leaving their mouth.

Ota fired a volley at the worm things to keep them at bay then turned to look at the people approaching from the rear. Who were they?

The people beyond seems to be ordinary people, their cloths are modest (not miners).
20 minutes

[Philulhu]

Ota brought his gun up to cover the survivors. ”Approach slowly!” he shouted. ”Have any of you been infected? Open your mouths and show me you’re not carrying any of those bugs!”

"Infested? Is that what happened? We have been hiding from the last couple of days. Half the the town started acting crazy and there was a bloodbath and we run away to a warehouse. We saw a truck and we guessed it should be someone normal"

[Philulhu]

”Get on board,” Ota ordered the survivors. ”Are any of you armed?”

"One of us have a gun, I have a knife and the other a crowbar"

[Philulhu]

Ota grimaced. It was better than nothing, he supposed. ”Ok, you with the gun, keep an eye out for the infected. Shoot them if they look like they’re getting close. Don’t have any qualms about it; it’s them or us. Understand? The rest of you, keep your heads down but be ready just in case any get close enough. No mercy! We must prevail!”
