"Jacob, you might have more luck hot-wiring a truck than me, they didn't really cover that at the Naval Academy. Can you give me a hand if I can't get this one open and started?"

OOC:   If the truck is locked, Rourke will try smashing the driver's door window with the butt of his pistol.

Mary reloads and keeps the others covered from her perch, in case more of them appear.

How far is it to the station?

The truck is open, with the keys.
Using the truck you should get in about 1 minute at the station.
And you suddenly hear the ominous "Ia!" getting near.

[Snapper]

Rourke leaps into the driver's seat and starts the truck up. "Everyone get in!!"

Jacob doesn’t need telling twice, although his bad arm makes climbing in difficult.

”Move it!” snapped Ota, hauling himself into the truck. His rifle was up and ready, aiming in the direction of the shouting should anyone make an appearance.

Mary looks around for the approaching mob and, if she sees them, will aim at them until they get into range while the others approach in the truck.

[Snapper]

Rourke hastily drives over to wherever Mary is. "Mary, get in! We can outrun them in this, or maybe just run them down, but it is going to attract attention!"

[Mr. Handy]

I thought I'd already jumped across to the station, which is where we're headed.

[Snapper]

OOC:   I believe we jumped across to the neighbouring building, not the Station. The Station is a short walk away or 1 minute in the truck. Then we headed downstairs, exited, shot zombie-locals and so on.

Mary quickly gets in the truck.

I just checked, and it looks like you're right.

[Snapper]

As soon as Mary is in, Rourke wastes no time in heading for the train station

OO: yes, you are all in the truck and you need to travell to the station.

And suddely a crowd of infested people appears and starts running in your direction. The station is at east, but the truck is turned over the west and the crowd is coming from the west.

[Philulhu]

What kind of truck is it? Are we all crammed in the cab or could some of us be on the back?

[Snapper]

"Oh jump gods be merciful." Rourke doesn't bother trying to turn the vehicle. He sticks it into reverse and starts reversing away from the crowd. "Hold tight."

OOC:   If Rourke finds a cross street, he'll reverse past it, then put the truck into drive and turn into the cross street.

Jacob hangs on as best he can, complaining noisily every time the bouncing truck jars his arm.

OOC yes, you can go in the back. But Rourke doesn't know how to drive (that is a skill vehicle: wheeled vehicle)). It must be someone with that skill OR with jack of all trades (that is Abe and Hiroto).

Ota stabbed a finger at Abe and Hirohito. ”Get behind the wheel! You’re the only ones who can drive this thing!”he snapped. Seeing more of the infected approaching, he fired a volley in their direction.

Rourke hastily vacates the driver's seat to make room for Jacob.
