New York: between chapters

You had a plane to get you and your "guest" quickly back. In American soil he was taken awaw, and you had a car waiting to drive you to New York.
After a quick stop in an hotel to take a bath and change cloths, you went to the Caduceus headquarter. Someone is waiting for you and takes you to the sixth floor.
You already know the place (with a lot of people working there), but this time, when they see you, they all start... aplausing you.

Butch is not used to being the center of attention like this and quickly raises his hand to acknowledge the applause but just as quickly moves through the gathered people to the meeting room.

"Thanks everyone. Just doing our jobs. You all just keep doing yours."

Jan saunters at the back of the group, smoking a cigar. She's still wearing breeches and purposely ignores the scandalised stares from the Caduceus employees.

"Oh, err, you are too kind, really." Crowley looked unexpectedly embarrassed, and made small negating gestures with his hands.

"Honestly, I was given the chance to fly an aircraft in combat one more time, that's all the thanks I'll ever need."

Someone comes in your direction (a muscular, bald man) and speaks:
"Mr Meadham wants to speak to you. He wants to know the people who captured one of those creatures. Please follow me".

"No, he is not a guest. He is a menace to humankind, but thanks to you, one less that we must worry. I don't know anything about the plants and animals, didn't read your report."
He arrives at an elevator, and uses a key (this is a private elevator) to call it.
"I don't know much about the snake lady as you say; we keep everything separated, so if anyone is capturated, he won't give much information besides it's own field".

"I think the other clients would be a bit disturb. About the prisoner, not my business. It's here".
It is the floor 18.
The door from the elevator open and you that the entire floor is an office.
While the office is sparsely furnished, the furniture is solid, expensive, and tasteful. Floor-to-ceiling oak bookshelves hold volumes on pharmacology, medicine, and human anatomy.
A Japanese lacquered cabinet holds drinks.
Next to this cabinet stands a human skeleton, mounted on a metal stand and hung from a chain small metal plaque on the top of the
stand reads, “Memento Mori.” A number of wooden filing cabinets store vital documents, although these largely relate to mission planning and finances.
You see a man in his 70's with a white hair and beard.
"Here you are, come in please".

In the bookshelf you notice two curious volumes that seem very old: the Book of Eibon and the Zanthu Tablets. There is also a safe and one wall contains two doors set into its wooden paneling.

The liber ivonis is a book of fabulous antiquity from ancient Hyperborea, written by the wizard Eibon.
The Zanthu Tablets were written by Zanthu an ancient priest from Mu; they use the Naacal language.

A person is waiting for you. Then he takes you to an elevator. And you go down.
And down.
And down.
You are leaded to her cell (a nice place, even if it is a cell), with a huge poster of a tropical forest, and lot's of flashlights to simulate the sun.
You see two guys trying to talk to her (they have several manuscripts and books) and frustrated because she simply ignore them and is throwing a baseball ball to the wall and catching it.
