At the sound of the first explosion, Butch picks up the pace. As the sounds get closer, he breaks into a sprint towards safety. As he's running, he encourages those around him to run faster.

'RUN!!!' shouts Alex and he moves as fast as his aged legs can carry him, finding a strength he didn't think he still had. Muttering a thankful prayer under his breath, between wheezing lungfuls of air.

Although initially Jan is up front, she gets knocked over n the stampede and then struggles to catch up again; all that drinking has taken its toll.

Your CON is 95. That's (barely) a success.

Alex collapses into a corner, mumbling prayers to himself in between mouths of whiskey. He watches the cloud of fire rising in the distance and crosses himself. What kind of people would do this? Caduceus are trying to play God.

After a day or two, 4 people die... but the others get better. So, you decide to return to the village.

When you leave the area, ypu discovered that everything is burned to charcoal. No remains of the strange fauna, just some dead trees. All the water has evaporated. The locals are shocked with what they see, but very grateful to you, since they (finally) undesrtand what could have hapen to them.
Afetr several days of travel, you arrive near your plane; you have another one from Caduceus ready to transport you and the voyage is quick to New York.
