Jan unlimbers her rifle and shoots at the beast, aiming for the magnificent head. There’s a huge boom as the gun fires but in her excitement the shot goes wide.

Watches the other's shots go wide, Alex swings down his shotgun and fires wildly in the direction of the giant snake.

Harry squeezes off a shot, hitting the giant snake.

Since everyone else is shooting, I'll go ahead and fire my first shot now. Please let me know when I can fire the other two.

The others are all shooting so Crowley shrugs, takes careful aim and fires one shot from his Webley.

The weapon, covered in blood, mud and the like, actually jams. Crowley curses in Latin.

The snake ignores Crowley but seem to be mad at Harry and prepares to attack him...

Harry fires two more shots, one of which hits.

Harry expertly leaps aside as the snake attacks.

The snake seems almost to fly in direction of Harry, but he is quicker and he jumps to her side, almost feeling her scales near his skin.

New round, everyone can act.

Jan takes a deep, slow breath and lifts the rifle again; she’s been here many times before, facing a man-eater. The gun fires with another huge boom which reverberates around the chamber. This time is more successful.

She then starts to reload.

Having no luck with his shotgun, and with the hissing snake so close, Alex pulls out his revolver and unloads three rounds into the beast. With his trembling hand, each one glances off the glistening scales, leaving bloody gouges in the flesh.

I'm assuming the snake is Build 4 or more and adding a bonus die, which counteracts the penalty die. HdH159%d%HdH259%d%HdH359%d%

Harry rolls aside, comes up on one knee, and empties his revolver into the snake.

With an extreme success with a rifle, I think you roll more for damage than that.

I'm pretty sure we're at point blank range now that the snake has lunged, so that alone should give bonus dice regardless of its size. All mine hit regardless, even without them.

Crowley:

Crowley drops the revolver, unslings the shotgun hanging from his shoulder and fires both barrels at the beast.

Butch drops the malfunctioning flamethrower and pulls out his trusty rifle and squeezes off a shot at the monstrosity but he has no better luck.

"Blast this jungle. I need to spend more time cleaning my weapons once we've downed this thing.

The snake receives the full blast of several bullets and with the impact she hit the wall, and drops in the floor, in a pool of blood and gore. Her tails still moves in a spasm, but she is really dead.
You can finally see the room. There are several carvings in the walls with glyphs (everyone learn 1d4 of nahacal language) and a throne with a figure. As you aproach, you see that the ornate stone throne is carved from a huge block of jade and decorated with fine metal filigree ornamentation depicting strange forests and curious beasts. The seated figure is that of a serpent person, dressed in fine crimson robes, edged with golden thread. The figure is still, eyes lightly closed as if sleeping. And she is a female to your surprise: she has breasts!

Crowley:

Crowley breaks open and reloads the shotgun before slinging it and retrieving his revolver. He breaks that open too and unjams the mechanism. Occasionally, he eyes the figure.

"I went on a dinner date in Nepal with someone very similar, as it turned out."

Harry reloads his revolver and examines the figure. "Is this what we came to find?" he wonders aloud.

After reloading his weapons, Alex approaches the seated figure. 'So what have we here? The One Who Sleeps?' He places a hand on her arm, 'I wonder if there's any way to wake you up?'

Crowley:

Crowley still has his revolver cracked open and is busy wiping and blowing mud out of it. "Damn this muddy continent."

Jan walks along the murals but she doesn’t glean much from them. She then walks up to the figure and watches as Alex inspects it.
“The female is the more deadly of the species.” she murmurs.
“Well at least we’ve found the under-dressed jungle lady. She’s slightly larger than I was expecting though.”
