Alex is still haunted by the destruction wrought in Borneo and is expecting answers.

"She also knows more about her people's culture and language than we can learn anywhere else," says Harry.

Butch is relatively uninterested in the books and the conversation as he scans the room for security devices and cameras.

"Yes. Cultural exchange..."

"She is being interrogated by competent people. I may let you speak with her since you actually saved her. She hasn't be very cooperative to be true."

"Well, if you're going to do that anyway, how about springing for a good New York chef? Treat her like a valued ally, not an imprisoned enemy being interrogated. Dinner with friends might accomplish a whole lot more."

"I'm quite partial to a New York steak, myself. And it doesn't look like it'll bankrupt your organisation."

"I definitely appreciate a New York steak," says Harry.

With this, he seems to say that the conversation is over.

"At least we can go visit and talk to her," says Harry. "Maybe we can bring her the food ourselves."

Crowley sought information from the Caduceus minions on how the party might arrange a time to visit the snake lady.

As they are leaving, Alex grumbles to the others, 'What side are we on exactly? The goodies or the baddies? I don't think I know anymore.'

"I'm not so sure myself," says Harry. "There may not even be any goodies. It could be the baddies fighting the other baddies for all we know."

Crowley rolled his eyes. "We're on the side that doesn't steal and eat dead and buried bodies. We're on the side that doesn't sacrifice people to weird giant slug things in Antarctica. We're on the side that isn't the Nazis." Moral ambivalence clearly meant nothing to him.

'We are currently on the side that locks up and interrogates intelligent beings aeons older than our own. The side that detonates bombs of unimaginable destruction in the midst of human habitation as a means of infectious disease control.' He shakes his head in disgust. 'I'd rather talk to the serpent woman.'

"Ah well, on that at least we can agree.". Crowley actually looks quite cheered by the prospect.

You see two guys trying to talk to her (they have several manuscripts and books) and frustrated because she simply ignore them and is throwing a baseball ball to the wall and catching it.
