In light of the background, I'm going to bring some mosquito netting and a machete which I added to my character sheet

My knowledge of South America is pretty average.

I saw something about one or another country in South America that lost its only sea port in a border war. But to this day it maintains a landlocked navy.

Does that ring any bells with anyone?

That's Bolivia. They have a navy but no coast line (although Lake Titicaca is pretty big). I think they lost their access to the sea in a war with Chile. Paraguay is the other landlocked South American country.

That's the one! I can only imagine what pursuing a career in the Bolivian Navy must be like...

Paraguay tried to get an access to the sea by waging a war against several neighbors in the XIX century at the same time (Brazil, Argentina Uruguay and some others) and it didn't end well.

I'm reminded of the episode of Red Dwarf where Lister is teaching Kryten the android how to lie. He shows him a banana and asks him what it is. Kryten keeps trying to say it's an apple, but he can't. Then he finally has a breakthrough and is able to say the pieces of fruit Lister shows him are all sorts of things. He calls one of them "the Bolivian Navy on maneuvers in the South Pacific." Then Rimmer comes in and Lister tries to demonstrate what he taught Kryten.

Lister (holding up a banana): What's this?
Kryten: It's a banana.
Rimmer: You taught him that? I'm impressed.
(or something along those lines)

Not sure how to do the dice roll so I'm testing here also.

[dice] d% [/dice]

/rolld%

/roll 1d100

Ok, feeling dumb here. Can someone explain how to roll the dice in a post?

There's a discussion of the new dice roller in this thread. Basically, you need to click the Dice rolls tab below the post to roll the dice. Then the dice roll will appear there, and you can click the first action by each roll to place it inline in the post.

Could someone enlighten me on the new spoiler buttons? How do you keep a titled button and stop it reverting to ‘spoiler’?

So this is the standard button:

Hello

And this is if you set the first tag to say 'Spoiler-Button=Blahblahblah' inside the square brackets (and ignoring the quotation marks):
