To everyone:
You can increase 1 point in 1 characteristic (STR, CON, SIZ, DEX, APP, INT, POW, EDU) and eventually move, HP, Magic points, damage bonus (if your main characteristic increased) but you cannot change or increase the derived stats like luck or san.
OR:
You can increase 6 points in any skill (even if you have 0).

Presumably not in Cthulhu Mythos or any of the Mythos languages?

Do you mean we get to increase a characteristic by 1 point or 5? 1 point isn't that much with 7th edition stats. I'm thinking of boosting my DEX even higher.

No mythos,but you can increase nahacal or Hiperborian.

I think Crowley is just going to have to raise his Handgun skill to 94%.

I'll take the 5 points of DEX then. That also raises my base Dodge skill, giving me a couple of extra points there.

Do we get extra occupational skill points for raising a stat on which they are based?

Does raising a skill to 90% or higher still give you +2D6 Sanity, like it did in 6th edition?

I also will be raising my Dex by 5 which raises my Dodge by 3

I think it makes sense for Jan to increase her otherworldly knowledge as this has been her first experience of it and she hungers for more. As I can’t take Mythos, could I put 6 points into occult, taking it to 16?
