Re: New York: between chapters
'There is much this Tyrannish can teach us,' he looks directly at Meadham, holding eye contact uncomfortably long. 'Including about weapons of unspeakable horror and destruction,' he looks away, 'Or perhaps we have already learned enough?'
Alex is still haunted by the destruction wrought in Borneo and is expecting answers.
Re: New York: between chapters
"She also knows more about her people's culture and language than we can learn anywhere else," says Harry.

Re: New York: between chapters
Butch is relatively uninterested in the books and the conversation as he scans the room for security devices and cameras.

"She is being interrogated by competent people. I may let you speak with her since you actually saved her. She hasn't be very cooperative to be true."
OOC: There aren't any cameras.

Re: New York: between chapters
"Well, if you're going to do that anyway, how about springing for a good New York chef? Treat her like a valued ally, not an imprisoned enemy being interrogated. Dinner with friends might accomplish a whole lot more."
"I'm quite partial to a New York steak, myself. And it doesn't look like it'll bankrupt your organisation."
Re: New York: between chapters
"I definitely appreciate a New York steak," says Harry.

"Well, you can go now. Enjoy your stay."
With this, he seems to say that the conversation is over.

Re: New York: between chapters
"At least we can go visit and talk to her," says Harry. "Maybe we can bring her the food ourselves."

Re: New York: between chapters
As they are leaving, Alex grumbles to the others, 'What side are we on exactly? The goodies or the baddies? I don't think I know anymore.'
Re: New York: between chapters
"I'm not so sure myself," says Harry. "There may not even be any goodies. It could be the baddies fighting the other baddies for all we know."

Re: New York: between chapters
'We are currently on the side that locks up and interrogates intelligent beings aeons older than our own. The side that detonates bombs of unimaginable destruction in the midst of human habitation as a means of infectious disease control.' He shakes his head in disgust. 'I'd rather talk to the serpent woman.'
Re: New York: between chapters
A person is waiting for you. Then he takes you to an elevator. And you go down.
And down.
And down.
You are leaded to her cell (a nice place, even if it is a cell), with a huge poster of a tropical forest, and lot's of flashlights to simulate the sun.
You see two guys trying to talk to her (they have several manuscripts and books) and frustrated because she simply ignore them and is throwing a baseball ball to the wall and catching it.

OOC No, with more than 25%, you can speak the language (but if you want something more complex as a love poem, you will have to roll).

"We're on the side of science." Butch says quietly. "Most of this is above my pay grade but I'd have to say we", he gestures to the group, "we're doing good."
