The liber ivonis is a book of fabulous antiquity from ancient Hyperborea, written by the wizard Eibon.
The Zanthu Tablets were written by Zanthu an ancient priest from Mu; they use the Naacal language.

Sidling up to the bookcase, Alex notes some of the volumes. 'The Zanthu Tablets, interesting, I have a little Naacal myself, I would love to have a read...' he says. 'And the Liber Ivonis, do you read Hyperborean as well? Quite the rarity.' He tries to slip the Zanthu Tablets out from the bookcase to take a closer look at its authenticity.

Butch glances at the bookshelf but is more interested the meeting than reading.

He seems surprised.
"That is interesting. The number of people who can read it is very small in the word; a dozen maximum, and I doubt that half of them are human. I would be interested to know how you contacted with this kind of knowledge."

"We've met some native speakers of Naacal in the course of our missions," says Harry. "There are probably more than you think."

[Snapper]

"I think we killed most of those we met, so maybe he's right and there aren't many left. Besides us."

[Mephistophilis]

'We didn't kill all of them. Tyranissh for one. And Charles in Bolivia. Sometimes a little conversation and Christian charity gets you further than the barrel of a gun.'

"The guns were useful too," says Harry. "Like Al Capone said, you can get more with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone. Of course, he's in federal prison for tax evasion, so maybe he's not the best source of advice."

Somewhat bored, Jan flicks her fingers along the shelves looking for natural history books or books on strange beasts.

"Who is Charles? Those creatures are not to be trusted and should be eliminated because the risk is too big. We have only spared Tyranissh because she is from a time that humankid didn't existed, so she shouldn't have any prejudice against is. But that is not the reason I send you: I want to congratulate for your excelent work, that have surpass all our expectations. As a reward you can take a full week to do whateaver you want with your accomodations and food paid- but don't exagerate, I don't want to have an emergency meeting with the people of the accounting section."

"I was rather hoping to take the snake lady out for a meal. Perhaps a private room at one of the more discreet, upmarket restaurants New York is known for? Or even a private room here if you could have a good chef brought in for the night."
