Maxwell's Sanitarium- London, England
8:10 PM - Monday, September 9, 1940

Archie, Benjamin, and Anna departed, leaving Story, Elizabeth, Brook, Eddie, Eugene, and Charles in the lobby. The bombs were getting closer, but so far they were not close enough to be an immediate danger. "Should we go down to the basement now?" asked Brook.

"A couple of us should keep watch," suggests Eugene.

Story nods to Eugene and says, "Knowing that the there's safety in the basement. I can keep watch with you for a bit. Perhaps the other gentlemen can relieve us after a few hours?"

”Yes, sounds good.” Eugene agrees, settling down to keep watch.

The phone in the reception hall rang at about half past eight. Eugene picked it up and found that Archie was on the other end. He reported that he and his companions had arrived safely at St. James's Church and located Phyllis.

Sighing with relief, Eugene relays the message to Story, before returning to the receiver.

"What are you going to do now?" he asks Archie. "Stay put or go looking for the Steadmans?"

"Well, that's the question isn't it?" Archie answered Eugene. "I haven't really had a chance to talk with Phyllis yet. I'd like to hear what else she's discovered but if we have any chance to stop these people even for just this night, I feel duty bound to try. So, I'll go and see what we know and if there's a good enough reason to risk our necks out in the air raid. Cheerio then." The call was disconnected.

”Fair enough, well, be care-“ Eugene stops as the call disconnects.

”I suppose we’ll just have to wait then...” he muses.

The night passed uneventfully, though the sound of bombs falling could still be heard. However, those who wished to sleep managed to do so. They were starting to get used to this now. Early in the morning, the all clear finally sounded, waking everyone.
OOC,Story and Elizabeth, please roll Sanity for enduring the third night of the Blitz. I'll roll for Brook later. Sanity loss is 0/1. Everyone else has already lost 1 Sanity on one of the first two nights and is now used to it.

OOC,I'm not sure how it happened either. I've seen it happen in someone else's post before, but I never saw it happen in one of my own. When it does, the roll outside the spoiler button is actually the first one, which is the one I count, but you succeeded either way.

Eugene wakes, having slept better than he had for a long while. After washing, dressing and hopefully finding some breakfast, he suggests that they contact the church to make sure everyone else is alright.

Brook hadn't slept well at all, the bombing keeping her awake for much of the night and giving her nightmares when she finally did get some sleep. "What do we do now?" she asked,

The phone at the reception desk rang, and Maggie answered it, listening for a little. "It's Anna," she told the others. "She said they're going to Liverpool Street Station and asked us if we'd like to meet them there. They're going to try to help Phyllis retrace her steps and find the bombed out house where the Steadmans met Catherine Exeter last night."

"Fair enough, let's meet them there," says Eugene, slipping on his coat. "I'm glad nothing untoward has happened to them!"

Story nods his agreement and looks over at Elizabeth and Brook to see if they're ready to head to the station.
