Despite the horrors shown to him, Eugene knows nothing about the Father of All Bats except what they've already discovered.

"Eddie and Brook managed to scare it off with a searchlight when it was attacking me. Perhaps we could get one set up at the hospital? I also managed to blag of a flare gun from Eddie's HQ."

"The Father of All Bats? Hmmm. Truly fascinating." Story then turns from Elizabeth towards Carole, he responds to her saying, "Yes, yes, you're right... nearly tea time. Thank you for letting us come back and dig around again. It's been a great help." He smiles at her.

"Of course, Professor," said Carole. "I'm happy to help." She led them back to the platform after putting all of the materials away.

As they make their way back to the hospital, Eugene frowns.

"So... What's our plan?"

Charles shuffles awkwardly "Well Mr Story, it seems you know the ins, and outs of the situation better than the rest of us, and also have more of an idea of what we are dealing with. What do you suggest?"

Turning towards Charles, Story says, "Well, keeping an eye on Anna for starters, and it probably would be wise for us to get hold of a quality light source in case we need o destroy the Shining Trapezohedron." He straches his head and continues, "When the Steadmans and Catherine do make an appearance perhaps I can distract Catherine. After all my companions and I did have a run in with her and her deceased husband once before."

[Pastiche]

"Wasn't there some talk about using a search light the last time? I also wouldn't mind that each one of us has a powerful flashlight for personal protection. Not so that we can destroy it, but hopefully enough to scare it away if one of use finds us in a tight spot..."

[Shelfunit]

"Indeed, I can provide as many torches as I can from my shop, I think most of us have them already, I can't say they're the most powerful around, but they do a job."

[Mr. Handy]

OOC,Shining light on the Shining Trapezohedron is said to be able to damage The Father of All Bats, not the Shining Trapezohedron itself. [b]Charles[/b]'s store only has hooded torches for sale, which don't have very strong light, but nothing more powerful than that. With the blackout in effect, there isn't much demand for that sort of thing. [b]Eddie[/b] also has one flare. The searchlight used on the creature was not portable. It was one of the ones mounted outside to light up enemy aircraft.

"Unless we can somehow pesuade the authorities to set up a searchlight at the hospital, we're going to have to make do with what we've got, unless your torches are extremely bright Charles."

"I suppose if all else fails, we can make enough light to attract Jerry and drop a bomb on us."

Eugene sighs.

"That was a joke by the way - I think..."

OOC,[b]Charles[/b] has a history in factory iron working, the waste products of smelting would often include magnesium oxides - would he know of any way to get hold of supplies or metal dealers in the UK?

OOC,I read the first spoiler and rolled before reading the second, although since the fail covers a know roll as well, I shall accept my fate, unless our glorious, magnanimous, almost Solomon-like-in-his-wisdom, Keeper would allow a separate roll? ;-)

Charles pauses before getting in the car/taxi back to the asylum."Do you think we should, maybe ask the War Office for some assistance? I mean, maybe not let them know exactly what we're going up against, but at least try to get some help from them? If we could convince them Lord Colville was on to some German plot or something, and died before he could uncover it? I don't know, it just seems like we haven't tried everything yet, and I'm sure we could use all the help we can get..."

"That's a good idea," says Elizabeth, "but do we have time? If they are going to attack Anna tonight we need to get back to the sanatorium now. I just can't see the War Office doing anything quickly enough, not least on our say so sadly. Or maybe we could send them a telegraph? It might work, or at least be worth a try."
